https://playspellbreak.com/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Spellbreak/ ETA: Unknown NDA Lift: 12th Feb AU Servers: Soon(tm) 11 classes Duos and Squads confirmed On Epic's games store, not on steam Very early in the piece, but its twitchy and the graphics are on point from what I can see
BR rocks, it adds so many variables and such intensity that no other mode comes close to. There is a reason its popular. The issue however is BR requires insane player counts to last.. and great BR games have come and gone due to low player counts, not cause it sucked but poor marketing/market saturation. I wish this one well but I think itl be another Islands of Nyne with no players.
"We'll be adding more regional servers soon! We definitely have plans for one that will better serve the players in your region." - an official response to a NZ gamer who have just bought a pre-alpha key. Soon(tm)!
looks interesting! Don't get how battle royale adds to the game though, what do you pick up off the ground? spells? I.e. couldn't just TDM work, or other game modes? To me what's most interesting about it is simply the gameplay, not the battle royale mode
Battle Royale is just the in thing. Easy for anybody to pick up and just enough luck to keep it interesting for all skill levels.
Gauntlets and runes I think. Which can be combined in various ways. From what I understand other games are coming - ie standard arena fps modes, but lets face it... br is the mainstream play atm with Epic and its 200mil Fortnite players. Yes - completely agree. Edit: still from the above video showing loot from a kill... gauntlets, runes and amulets. Can't see why they wouldn't add potions at some point.
Hey, i got an email with a closed alpha key and a date of Feb 12 for the NDA lift! You can actually play the game right now just can't share anything before Feb 12.
Cute emergent behaviour... And in other news, the developers are moving the game from their own launcher to Epic's game launcher and presumably their store.
