it does if you don't give a damn about maintaining contention ratios. more cash for the same costs and who cares about quality.

This reminds me of exactly what optus did when they started their broadband cable service in the mid 90s, it took a few years, but they got fined for it.

“Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.”
    ― George Santayana

The main concern i had was they were arbitrarily doing whatever they wanted, with no checks and balances. They said unlimited due to aup, but you couldn't check your usage, as there was no usage meter to check, so it was the blind leading the blind.

There is a usage meter to check with spintel. But the numbers contained within are meaningless without a benchmark with which to compare. If you have no idea how much is too much, how can you be expected not to use, well, too much?

Dont think Dodo is as strict they have 3 TB plan and the unlimited is a comparison to say pay 5 cents more and go unlimited LOL

I did 1.5 TB last month and the months before that was over 800Gigs

I have been trying to reach 3 TB but I just can't find anything to Download LOL

that's another way of saying Dodo don't give a shit about the quality of the service they deliver. pay your money, get what you get. if you don't like it then leave, if they have to spend money servicing you then you're not a customer they want.

A year with dodo, they've been better than spintel, internode and westnet. :wired:

Amusing... given you've been using a Telstra ADSL service the entire time

Because customer service counts for nothing? A big call I know, but Dodo has so far proven better than the others for me personally.

Oh well, that's your choice... strange, given that there is nothing to lose in taking my word for it.

I've spent too long supporting operators like Dodo on an intercarrier basis to have any desire to interact with them as a customer.

Can't believe you dredged this thread up to give a 12 month update.

I guess if you sit at home downloading 500GB+ per month you don't have much else to do though.

Not when I've just knocked off work and I'm having a bite to eat in front of the PC before having a post work shower. ;)
