Not a problem. I think we were kind of both playing along :)

Yeah I've always wondered why people around here use the word "need" so much :leet:

That's going to be down to the usb spec. If it's a 10gbps enclosure, that's 1250mb/s minus any overheads, so you're going to see less speed the drive is capable of.

It would be a waste of the speed of this NVME to put it in an external enclosure.

Has anyone been able to successfully claim an AC Valhalla redemption from Samsung? It reckons my serial number is invalid. Have used the 15-digit number including the 'T' at the end that's on the physical device and not the box, but it just won't allow me to submit the form :(

Having same problem of invalid serial with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500gb M.2 for the cash back redemption.
    Still awaiting reply from Samsung.

This sounds strangely familiar in that I'm sure Samsung had a similar issue with a previous promotion. I think in the end Samsung had to fix their form submission. Just contact Sammy and ask what's going on.

You need to email promos.au@samsung.com . about a "INVALID SERIAL NUMBER for cashback"

I sent them a pic of the drive and a copy of the invoice, they took a week to fix.

Still no reply from promos.au - not even an a ticket number/automated reply. Pretty poor form from Samsung on this one.

I received an email today stating they had fixed serial and to go ahead with cash redemption.
Managed to register redemption, now to wait for cash.
Have 4 redemptions, 3 on 27/10/20 and 1 today. Still waiting on cash in account for 27/10 redemptions.

I think all you can do is keep trying and keep hassling them.

970 evo plus would be better. 980 pro would be better again.

also for $30 more you can get the 1Tb model of the 970.

Where can I get the 1TB for $30 more? I would go for that! When I select the 1TB the price jumps to $210 :(

    Thanks.
