    My apologies for that!

It’s a bit odd I normally check all options before posting, I wonder what happened there?:confused:

    Blinky caveat emptor right ??
anyone not checking b&h, amazon, staticice etc before hitting buy gets what they get.
and its isnt always just price that drives the decision

Well yes I guess, but not 100%. I take responsibility for the facts first in my posts. I have dropped the ball on that one, and feel bad about it, along with a good dose of confusion as to how it happened. I have removed the incorrect info and edited the other pointer post, I guess the only thing left to do is take more paracetamol and go back to sleep, cuz you don’t look anything like the nurse that was just here. :p

Hahaha, don’t make laugh everything hurts!

How are the current prices looking when compared to the pre-shortages prices?

i think the silicon squeeze in general is placing upward pressure on prices.
the chia squeeze is over but wafer shortages still around

And if we are adding China in the mix, they have power shedding as well now. None of this explains why we are seeing the specials, more so the opposite should still be on the cards.

probably for the hdd thread, but 8 and 10 tb are still the sweet spot :(

the specials are likely just retailers attempting to score a quick sale before black friday sales ?????

I picked up a seagate Q5 2TB Nvme SSD for $250 from amazon..
at 2400Mb/s its fairly slow dramless but the price is pretty good.

Its secondary storage.. so it just has to be ssd and capacity. Big stuff goes to NAS, and my boot drive is my faster drive.
