Yep, that bit is easy. Make boot disk from crucial website, boot machine, update firmware.
OK, thanks for the info
The 256GB version has a slightly faster write. However, $180 for a 128GB version is very tempting.
What's best value $per/GB?
The 128GB slightly.... maths
^^ Lol .!! It was a rhetorical question!
I bought the 512GB for $1.29/GB.
Prices are down again.
$161.49AUD for the 128GB M4 shipped to Sydney.
hmmm, must resist...oh but it hurts!
I gave in and bought a 256gb last night.... *fingers crossed for a price drop before it ships today*
That's what I'm after.
$323 for a 256gb & $159 for a 128gb right now. Damn cheap.
And with new firmware already on it (well the one I received from them today in any case.)
Bah, dropped $12 a day after my 256gb got shipped.... time to see if Amazon will refund the difference.
'Amazon: Crucial 256GB M4 2.5" SSD USD 313.34 (AUD 304.88) Delivered"
Can anyone tell me why the prices fluctuate so much?
Is it US dollar volatility? Does everything on Amazon bounce around?
Supply & Demand adjustments. Cost price for these would be weeks apart, not like petrol.
While I um and ah about price, it goes up overnight.
I've installed the camel firefox plug, but only updates once a day.
Starting to think the M5's are about to come out any day now.
256gb drive for $296!!!! Thats a $30 price drop overnight.
I just placed my order
$298incl post. For the price its a no brainer!
I just had $40.58 refunded from my order that I placed on the weekend when it was $336.57.
