I am thinking of giving myself an upgrade from the trusty 850 pro, waiting for stock to arrive for the 1tb model. Anyone managed to pickup 970 pro yet?

That’s the Evo not the Pro, paid high 700’s from memory, can pick one up now in the mid 700’s.

Ah yes that's true. Shouldn't be any noticeable difference between the two I'd be thinking.

Depends on your usage and budget, the two main benefits of the Pro are the increased endurance and no drop off in speeds unlike the EVO when the turbo cache is exceeded. If you are looking for value for money the EVO is the obvious recommendation.

    Endurance
    250GB EVO - 150 TBW
    500GB EVO - 300 TBW
    1TB 970 EVO - 600 TBW

    500GB PRO - 600 TBW
    1TB 970 PRO - 1200 TBW

    Turbo Write

So I just got a "Crucial MX500 1TB 2.5" SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD" for $244 using the 25% off ebay Plus discount (save about $81)

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Crucial-MX500-250GB-500GB-1TB-2TB-2-5-SATA-Internal-Solid-State-Drive-SSD/232727507362?epid=23019373761&hash=item362fa3f1a2:m:m7O53RidyF9zEgoELJ8gfIQ&var=532241069340&_sop=12&_sacat=175669&_nkw=ssd&rt=nc&_dcat=175669

This is the also the last day you can use this deal. I also the discount applies to other selected items from other sellers.

Now just need to work out if it worth keeping the ebay plus subscription before they charge me the $29.

    Barge

Edit:- made it clear I just got he 1Tb version (still had the over sizes in the name)

Good thing is these days these deals are coming up with extreme regularity. I'm just waiting on the next decent one to finally grab a 1TB nvme.

How odd they'd all drop their pricing at once?
Its not like they all just got done for collusion and price fixing.

    Oh wait.....
