Hahaha, yeah I think my wut went over his head
Oh relax i bought the ships years and years ago on the hype train.
The game has sucked till now and still isn't that good.
I can sell them for more than i paid so probably a good investment hey.
Sorry i took the Dog to the park for a run, she was bored.
Yes, I do believe them because it’s work that’s getting transferred back into the other modes anyway.
They literally said multiple times it was simple for them to do and it was required as it makes it easier for them to test instead of jumping into a PU simulation. How about watching the vids?
So... I'm going to have a look at this free fly alpha. I'm creating a login and there is a place for a referral. Anyone want to send me one? Apparently there are bonuses.
In case anyone wants to know what the rewards system is about.
I don't know why I keep bothering to open this thread
The game is sadly just one constant big sales pitch right now, trying to get continual money from backers as they have run out of all the pledges so far.
Hence the play the demo for free week, instead of having to pre-order the game.
Yep, hence why I want to have a look in the free fly week
Yeah, I'd welcome everyone to have a go of the game, but I would caution people from "investing" too much into it. Enjoy it for what it is, sit back and watch the supposition like the rest of us, in the far off promise of what it might become, and don't hold your breath for a release date. Aside from that, have at 'er.
Yeah WAY back in the beginning of time I bought an $80 package..
There's absolutely no way I'm going to 'invest' any more than that into it...
I'm still waiting to find out what my golden ticket gives me...
Been playing every day lately now, the expo is awesome and you can try any and all the ships, new manufacturers daily.
Plenty of space battles, missions and places to explore.
Got a stupid glitch where character went invisible and couldn't do shit till i made a new one but alas mostly bug free for now.
Bought a few Greycat buggies during expo as they come with LTI. They are only $16 and you can upgrade at any time in the future to ANY ship and transfer the insurance, so hell of a sweet investment! They fit in the Cutlass nicely too.
Fuck me. Decided to fire it up.
Stuck in the bed. Reset.
Walk outside, call elevator. Stuck in Elevator. Reset.
Go to Hangar. No inventory, no ships, nothing works. Reset.
Oh well, I'll try again another year.
Haven't heard of people getting stuck in lifts. Biggest problem with them is that there's no indication they're moving after you select your destination. Did you wait long after picking which floor to go to?
The hangars work but the UI is borked. There's supposed to be blue dots at the points on the floor etc where you can select which item/ship to spawn at that location but they don't show at the moment. Hangars are likely a very low priority until they're implemented in the PU.
Just be careful you don't fall into the sunk cost trap with the cheap LTI token strategy. I guess it's fine if you're 100% certain you're going to buy a particular ship in future, but nobody should be doing it otherwise.
Well shit. I've already found an issue that limits my play in the game, and I haven't even took off from the station in a ship yet.
I use inverted mouse in fps mode. Easy enough, all games cater to it and many gamers play like it. But why on earth would you marry the invert mouse setting with in game menu's too? Turn on invert mouse... and when trying to select anything on an in game menu like talking to people or calling up your ship, and you are pushing the mouse down to go up in the menu etc. What the actual fuck. It's not even a bug, it a design decision. After some googling, apparently it was separate before but was changed a couple of years ago and people have been complaining ever since. Astounding decision.
So I have a choice. I either put up with awkwardness when using in game menu's, or awkwardness when walking around and trying to look at anything.
You mean people that use inverted mouse exist?! You are legit the first person ive met that prefers inverted.
You need to get out more lol
Then i'd never meet a gamer paying their games inverted
Its more because it's not something I generally ask people, I am sure a bunch of people I know play inverted, just havent bothered asking them
$275 million, ladies and gentlemen. This is the result.
