If you started an account in STO anytime in the past, can log in as a 'silver' or F2P member.

Everyone else has to wait until Jan 17 (or 18th, for us Aussies) for the full F2P access.

So all you dudes and dudette's that started and went 'meh' - have another look - theres some cool stuff coming, like 'miss' shots in space combat actually missing! (looks really cool) and some new sets (MACO, Klingon Honor Guard, and Omega)

I enjoyed this game, currently tho SWTOR has chewed up any time I had to play it. Still feel that if this games space combat and tors ground game were combined you'd have one of the greatest games ever made :D

lifetime sub here, have not played it in 12months...but back on board casually. Duty officers are not bad and now i also get a monthly stipend of 400 cryptic points... lol
Does OCAU have a fleet? Or any good AUS fleets for the very casual gamer?

Hey, i've been looking at this thread for ages, is there a good place to buy a copy of this? I've always wanted to give it a go, and now that is free to play i might.

I think you can just download it from the website.

    Yep, download from the website.

If quota is an issue you can get the discs at any game store for $10-20.
I picked up the CE version at JB for $15.
There's still a lot of patching though. Which is a good thing, so many changes since launch day.

OCAU certainly did have a fleet, I spotted a couple running around about a year or so ago.

The other Aussie fleets are southern cross fleet, Australian and new zealand allied command and ausmonauts.

The first two are pretty much dead with both of them moving to TOR. Ausmonauts still have about 200 members in STO with about 100 that are still active.

The ocau fleet is still there but there are like no active members.

Was fun back in the day.

Maybe we should reform the ocau fleet?

Or let me back in if its still around? I was part of the fleet in the beta but when i logged back in after it went f2p I wasn't in the fleet anymore?

Yes I have. I thought it was caused by everyone playing the new featured episode.

If any one didn't know this is a cool podcast all about Star Trek Online. This podcast is about the latest feature episode (a mission that comes out every week)

Our guild the Ausmonuats are still playing and a few new aussie guilds have popped up.

personally i dont agree with a lot of the changes that have been made, so playing TOR now.
