This is annoying but not a deal breaker.
This. We use TS in BF4 anyway.
I agree it is unusual they have so many good elements from the BF series not found in this game.

The fact that nobody uses it is the games fault, it doesn't indicate that its not needed.

It was quite common for people to use comms in Battlefield 2 and that could have been improved greatly as well.

Dice should look back at older games that made them popular which had both single and multi player/Co-Op. The Best co-op was quake II for me. Glory days of old are gone to much cash cows developers these days.

Didn't say it wasn't needed. Even when the game has inbuilt comms, people still end up using a preferred alternative.

Should the game have it for people that want to use it? Yes.

Does that mean it is an absolute necessity? I don't believe it is.

The inbuilt comms for BF4 only allow you to communicate with your squad of 5 people.

If we have 10 in game on two squads, TS is a great alternative to keep us effective.

    Except Dewy.

I hear ya, but I just can't be bothered chasing those idiots. Rather spend quality time with the Platoon in teamspeak.

Tried this yesterday, only lasted about 20 minutes before i got bored and then played a great 2 hours of cs:go with the housemates. They didnt even bother giving it a go and they are hardcore unemployed gamers

No offense but hardcore unemployed gamers is no endorsement as they probably couldn't afford the DL quota and I bet have a very subjective view towards a limited few titles.

Ridiculous download quota comments aside, perhaps subjective view == taste? Preferring games with depth, even?

Uninstalling this today. So happy to see it go.. No interest in the full release.

I think this is going to be a fanboi game honestly. I can't see it taking players from existing online FPS.

Actually, that is exactly what it indicates.......
If I am playing with friends, I use TS. If I am playing with randoms, I dont care to communicate. Realistically, what value would it add? Oh thats right. A checkbox on your hate list. Thats what value it adds.

That's the benchmark? Really there have been some utterly amazing games that no one will be playing in 15 years or competitively...
