Ah yes you could technically make it work. However, just because of the way the game is you would severely restrict your play.

Come to think of it, you could in theory play it really well if you're great with coordinating your fingers.

You have ABXY (4 possible keys)
    Then you have
    R1 + ABXY
    L2 + ABXY
    RT + ABXY
    LT + ABXY

    Right there that's 20 key-binds

Then you could possibly do R1+RT+ABXY, R1+L1+ABXY, etc for even more

You'd have to be damn good with a controller and have a great memory but you could in theory play it reasonably well.

You would likely still require a keyboard/mouse for inventory management and UI stuff.

Everyone knows that Blur studios gives good trailer - so here is their latest effort "Betrayed" for Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion out Dec 2nd.

As a CGI effort, no questions on the trailer.

From a continuity standpoint though, why make Senya look significantly different to the Senya that we've been playing the game with all through Knights of the Fallen Empire?

Also doesn't give much information on what might be in store for Eternal Throne. We already know that we'll be up against Empress Vaylin and her droid lackey SCORPIO. Valkorion has already told us that Vaylin had to be held back, and is a bit nuts. And.. that's it.

Some info from the NYC Cantina event:

    • December 2 release date. Subscribe to get access.
    • Level cap raised to L70.
    • Knights of the Eternal Throne to ship with 9 chapters and 2 new planets.
    • Looks like they're keeping some of the mechanics from the Dark vs Light event. "..your every action drives the galaxy closer to the light or dark side.."
    • New Galactic Command system. "Grow your influence as you ignite light and dark side enemies, battle new Uprisings and unlock powerful rewards."
    • Uprisings - join up with 3 allies. So new Flashpoint type group encounters - possibly shorter, 1 boss type things.
    • 3 play (difficulty) modes - Story, Veteran and Master.

That's the official stuff off the website. Some other bits and pieces from Dulfy here. Companion deaths, "choices matter", no new operations with launch (cue online crying), etc.

Possible data mined class/skill changes here: https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/news/5-0-class-changes#global

Is there somewhere local to buy subs in these days rather than getting raped on the AUD>USD conversion?

I wanted to get back into this but the cost is prohibitive.

There's quite a bit around on how to play this game cheaply. EA have made Free 2 Play on SWTOR pretty restrictive, but there's a few ways around it.

Link to a summary of the 3 ways to play - Free to Play, Preferred, Subscriber.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/29tlib/best_way_to_get_preferred/

Caveat is that I think you're still pretty restricted when it comes to PvP as a non-subscriber.

Let me post my referral link here when I get home. ;)

    Here it is. http://www.swtor.com/r/PPSFk8

Just re-installed this after quitting a few months after release.

Any active oceanic guilds on harbinger empire side?

Or is there no point in joining a guild anymore because everyone plays it as a single player RPG? :Paranoid:

I reinstalled about 2 weeks ago. I'm in a guild for the XP bonus, but as a Sub, I really don't need it. I've just started chapter 3 and am already Lvl 45, just doing the Class Story quests.

I just play it is a single player RPG, with a #StarWars IRC running in the top corner :).

I had a shit load of fun playing this game, but guild politics ruined it for me :o

Treating it like a single player RPG sounds like it great idea

Might boot it up again sometime if i get the chance.

As an MMO, it's pretty shit now, with no real "MMO" content for a long time, But as a Star Wars RPG, it's pretty good. Especially if you played through KOTOR 1 and 2. (Even though I'd have rather had KOTOR 3 than SWTOR).

And with it, you end up so over leveled for the class stories, that you are better off just watching them on youtube :).

Is there much of an Aus player base in this anymore?

I remember buying a few copies for me and mates when I was in the states like 5 years ago and they decided to release it in Australia like 3 months later.
