What better 1st place to start then here :)

After a 32 or 34 "monitor to replace the late Acer Predator 34"that died"

LG 34GL750 looks ok as it has a vesa mount but resolution of 2560 x 1080 is a bit off putting

    Graphics card I have is a 2080ti

If its a real good monitor maybe a bit over $1200 but prefer a lot less

    Its gaming.........mostly racing like iRacing

bloody edit: as soon as Put it on the Obutto rig same problem...nothing but "no signal"so I reversed the DP cable and it is now working. I think the problem is the DP connection plug or the cable but I tried other cables previously.

Ì have the Zotac 2080ti amp gaming and have just tried the acer again and its working. Before it wouldn't give a signal on this or my other PC even when I tried using hdmi and changing the input

ffs, I am going around the twist or maybe I have already completed that journey

And now I have to remove one monitor and put the other back on the Obutto stand and that is a complete pain but it could be worse as before asking here I nearly clicked and ordered the LG I mentioned in the initial post. Anyway I am typing this from the cockpit with the Acer at an angle over a metre away as can be seen...and thats my case behind it

Honestly - wait. I never tell people to wait for future hardware, but so many new monitors were announced at CES for a Q2 2020 release, that it's just stupid to buy something now.

    Like what ??? and when??
Been waiting too long now for something half decent,
that doesn't come with an over the top price tag making an OLED TV the better option.

Picked up the LG 38WK95-C on a sale for not much more than that price. Was hoping to wait till the 38WN95-C to hit the market but ran out of time.

As posts mentioned above there is alot of really nice monitors hitting the market later this year with hopefully some price drops on the older tech
