Steam downloads being slow all of a sudden

    Last.. 2 hours?

    Its saturday the 10th, and uplay/epic/battle.net are all getting 10 meg a second but steam is being horribly slow. Anyone else having the issue? Its just not my PC, all pcs with steam on them are being slow.

    ha, fixed it. It was set to Qld (i am in brisbane)

    Set it to central asia, now getting full speed?

    WTF. (ISP is exetel business NBN)

    Had the same thing last night and this morning. Changed it to Singapore and I'm getting max speeds again. Something funny with the AU servers I guess.

    I was having the same issue, struggling to even get 500Kb/s speeds. I was playing around with my LanCache setup earlier today and I thought that I must have broken something. But now I've switched my Steam region to Singapore and things are downloading at full speed again.

    Just downloading Squadrons and was getting 100kb/s for hours, then read this.

    Now getting 12.9MB/s out of Singapore!
