The Xbox 360 controller was just a personal preference, not so much of a necessity; I just like the control and the ability to use the triggers to control your throttle.

Call me evil, I guess there is no denying it. While I was temping others I had my internal feud brewing about its purchase...lol

Dragon Age - origins + Grid for me.
I get off peak downloads midnight to midday, still have about 10GB left this month, so hope to have 1 or both ready to go by tomorrow lunchtime.

In the system requirements area for all these games, the hard drive requirement is always more than the actual requirement when you dl them?

Like the Dragon Age says 20gb hard drive requirement.

Or Titan Quest says 5gb yet when you click install it's 2.8gb.

Possibly a newb question but I haven't bought digitally in a long time.

I'm having payment problems- I can't buy anything because it says I don't have enough money in my PayPal account.
All there is in my cart is the THQ pack and GRID and I've done the USD-AUD conversion- they total less then the total of my account. What is going on?
I even tried buying the THQ pack only and it still does not allow me to buy it.

Not exactly sure, on Direct2Drive, a similar service to Steam, Dragon Age comes in at 7.9GB to download and GRID comes in at 6.39 GB.

Lol prob just compressed install files so smaller I guess. I'd follow the above then. Wish Steam had the actual download size listed somewhere like D2D.

I've got that exact problem. The 1TB drive I use just for Steam games has only 8GB free. So I'll have to either buy a 1.5 / 2TB drive, RAID0 the drive with another 1TB, or start uninstalling games.

Here's Steam official reply on the subject. You can move the SteamApps folder, but you can't split it across different drives.

When you see that many games listed for $50.00 it's kind of hard NOT to buy them...DoW series looks pretty cool.....arrrrgh I finish work in 7 minutes and I can already hear my credit card whispering in my ear....going to be a long 36 hours!

I’ve been fortunate enough to not have that problem, so i haven’t had the need to see if there is any way around it.
