so someone was selling all that gear for $350???
Wow. That is incredibly bad.
You'd think it could be as simple as Name, Item Desc, Serial, Special Identifying Features. And then given the serial number they could just do a quick search - no results found. Done.
Awesome news mate well done getting most of it back. Are the police going to visit the seller?
Na they are too busy sitting in grey merc vans on the side of the road.
This is the government we are talking about lol.
Crime Watch Social Media strikes again.
Glad a somewhat positive result.
They may not even be the thief, so it could have been offloaded to them for cheaper to resell.
They aren't the thief, I have the details of the thieves, who have been tried and convicted. They almost certainly came by them via illegal means though. I can't think of how else you take possession of this amount of gear which you can then cluelessly palm off for $350 via legitimate means.
This whole story gives me the chills. Amazing that the buyer went through that much effort to track you down though
Congrats on getting the gear back Evil. Early Christmas for you. Kudos to the honest innocent buyer.
Yeah, nice to see there are some good people in the world still. Well done on getting back your gear .
Odd... I had to actually by back my rotary hammer drill that got knocked off out of the back of my car about 10 years ago. Some shady hocker shop in Bondi Junction bought it from a known druggie, cops even got his address and details. Nothing ever done, except me paying a coupe of hundred bucks to get back my tool.
Glad you got a good chunk of your stuff back!
