the problem for me is this.

Switch launched with a couple of amazing new titles, everything else is ports or multiplats.

As I understand it, they are, it's just taking way longer than they expected. (*Cries in Metroid Prime 4 theme music*)

And I don't mind if they fill in the gaps with WiiU ports, as I never had a WiiU. So bring 'em on.

(Countdown to Nintendo re-releasing Metroid Prime Trilogy and me being stupid enough to buy it yet again).

because the switch was rushed to market...... with a delayed port of a Wii U title in the launch lineup......

    Lifetime WiiU sales: 15.5 mil
Switch sales to date: 52.5 mil and growing

Yeah, can't really blame a company for rushing to kill a bad product and replace it with an awesome one.

I think it is. You don't rush to replace a successful perform. You do rush to replace a flop.

But happy to hear counter arguments.

Nintendo also publicly said Switch was not a replacement platform for 3DS, which pre switch was considered a sales success, however after switches mild to market start, as it picked up Nintendo gradually ended 3DS development because switch tanked 3DSs success.

The flop of wiiu is rather interesting, it's a really good console, but price point and flexibility had always held it back from gaining popularity

To be fair, they said that 3 years ago. That's a long time in the tech world.

Yeah but it wasn't that long later on when they ended production for 3DS in Japan

I already had a switch by then and pretty much like everyone else my 3Ds has barely been touched since

3D World is a great Mario game. Glad it will get the audience it deserves.

I’d argue Nintendo’s first party output has been pretty prolific on the Switch. It’s been out just over 3 years. How many exclusives have Sony and Microsoft put out in that time?
