If you have the collector's edition worth $150 why did you register the key from that and make it worth less?? Should've just bought a Steam key online for $5-10 and sold your existing copy of it.

Hahhaha.. I've been playing this the last few weeks.. (goin back thru old games).. Taught my daughter how to play.. she loves it.

I noticed this thread just now, and read the last page.. Then I read someone asking about jumping on hamachi.. I thought, fuck me, your old too.. Then I looked at the date.. Yeah.. We old. LOL

    Great game nonetheless.

Nah, key was spent on my original install 10 years ago, so already technically used.

    Ha 2010.. 10 years agoo..

Gota say with the 5950x and the 6800, game play is pretty decent, even on the bigger maps. It still only uses <6 cores. Could use a touch more cpu power, but its pretty playable the whole game now.

And from the sounds of it, The Loud project looks to have improved efficiencies dramatically too, so will definitely be getting my hands on it.

I recall the most frustrating bugs occurring with experimentals getting stuck on shore line and failing to fire at land units. Hopefully those issues have been fixed.

I haven't checked out the LOUD mod.. I will do that.

The game is much more enjoyable with the power to play it, as it gets more fun the more you go along and you start chucking tech 3 or experimentals at each other.

Yah, I'm looking forward to it. How cool is it to completely forget about a game that you played the shit out of 10 years ago, and then come back into it to find the modding community have done amazing things with it. :D

Maybe I should give this another go.... I really couldnt get into it back when it was released. Just wasn't the game that Total Annihilation was. Man I loved that game, played the shit out of it.

    Its not TA.

But its very good. Supreme Commander with FA, is a very good game. IMO once you get familiar with it.. all other strategy games start to feel very lame.

You can see why the community has put tremendous effort into it.

    I've tried BAR,

it's alright. I'd probably prefer to play supcom than BAR in its current state but it looks promising.

Downlords client for FAF is great, for a volunteer mod, its close to Steam
    friends list
    auto updates
downloads mods to stop that dreaded desync

That looks remarkably similar to planetary annihilation

There was actually a big update that added some polish + advanced graphics config screen on the settings.

The hard AI is a good challenge now.
