Switched to macs, suggest wireless setup

    hi all,

    i have recently switched to a mac (ibook g4) and was thinking of getting a broadband internet wireless setup at home. what would you guys recommend? i only have an ibook and nothing else and am as green as hell so please suggest foolproof setups :)

    You could keep things 'mac' and get a modem and an Airport Extreme Base Station from Apple, or you should be able to use just about any modem/router that you'd use with a PC.

    Best bet would be to jump on the forums a thttp://www.appletalk.com.au

    Any wireless setup will work fine. It doesnt have to be an Apple product.

    Have you already got a cable/ADSL modem? If so then just buy a Wireless Router.

    I may just swap the ibook for a pc ultraportable. Hence off it goes to the traders forum. Thanks for your help. :thumbup:
