Hey i'm looking for a restaurant in city CBD
that is easy to get via walking from Central or Town Hall.. so please i don't want somewhere in Glebe etc.
Uhmm we need it to serve Wonton noodle soup and crab sticks

    So basically
Does anyone know any restaurants that sell a good wonton noodle soup along with some nice chinese food / asian food!?

P.S. my friend said she ate this "Crab stick that is fried and it has honey and flour" or something.. does anyone know what this dish is called?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Would be interested to hear too...pretty much all the wonton soup I've tried is the gluggy, frozen variety :( Does anybody make their own fresh wontons?

Considering Chinatown is two blocks from Central I'm pretty sure you'd have no trouble...just finding a good one is the question haha

Din Tai Fung apparently make a nice wonton soup according to my parents. I have eaten there before, but only the different dumplings, the pork, crab ones. Very good. A bit expensive, and we had to wait about 45 minutes for dinner on a Thursday night.

Everything looks like it is made fresh, you can them folding dumplings in the kitchen area.

They are located at World Square at the top of the steps near the dragon sculpture thing.

Golden Palace is where the ALP have a lot of functions. They've got an excellent menu there, as far as Chinese food goes.

'Tis closer to Central than Town Hall, but between the two. :)

No booking at Din Tai Fung, I've tried. Its a first come first serve basis. Just go early. They have plenty of seats and are generally quite quick. Not sure about wontons at din tai fung. I've only had the steamed dumplings.
