    CPU: E6400 Step6 B2
    Motherboard: Gigabyte DS3
    RAM: 2GB G.Skill PC6400 HZ
    Cooler: TT Big Typhoon

getting any conroe is a total bitch and it seems that B2 are not performing to ES chip levels......got a E6400 to play with until a decent conroe comes by my way :)

this is how i go about OCing....small steps with the right benchmarks

I don't raise any voltage unless it gets me stuck on an overclock...........vcore is normally a culprit in higher MHz..........all the tests were started with stock voltages except RAM which is on 2.0vdimm...........the rest of screenshots have the info i changed in the shots.....

    First boot 3GHz stock everything

    3GHz >>> 1 Hour Prime

Second boot 3.11GHz Dual 8M SPI still stock

Third boot 3.2GHz Dual 8M SPI still stock

They can handle the heat though :D

Priming my retail e6300 tonight at 3.0ghz, still stock cooler & closed case, but it's charging through, 30 minutes so far. Found out that manually setting the timings let's it post without doing the turn off, turn on thing. weird.

Good luck with the new chip!
