These were all taken on a 2 week road trip around Tasmania, all images shot with a D800E and 14-24 f/2.8.

FUCK YOU for being so good :(

    I envy your abilities....damn they're awesome shots.

I'd imagine you were using an ND filter?

Thanks mate. For most of the seascapes i used 2x 3 stop ND filters and a 3
Stop soft grad (lee sw150 filters).

Thanks mate, Tassie is great for landscape photography, lots of great spots and they're not far apart. I can't wait to go back there.

    Absolutely brilliant pics.

I grew up in Tassie so I would love to know where you took those too if you have time to update us.

    Well done mate.

Beautifully composed set of images... The set as a whole would actually work nicely as an encompassed exhibition.. My only gripe is that I feel the saturation has been pushed a few notches too far... The mood of the shots is brilliant, technical aspects of the capture seem spot on... Just for the greens in the waterfall images and overall in your face saturation of the seascapes (not all, but most).

Its hard to describe, from the position of someone who prints nearly everything I shoot, I find the shots that really work best are the ones that portray a sense of calm and tranquillity... All of these images possess the requirements to be very calming images, its just like listening to a chill-out album at 109dB... You know it is calming, but the volume is just a little to loud to be relaxing...

Beautiful set of images though, and I must say I am VERY envious of anyone who ventures to Tassie with a camera! :)

    Absolutely incredible! I especially love 9, 10 and 11.

Did you do anything special to get the different colours in the star trails? Or are they really like that?

Different surface temperatures emit different colours, to capture the colours use a wb setting around 4 or 5k. I've boosted the colour in post to make them pop a bit more.

Do you mean you have three 3 stop filters stacked? Do you mind giving a bit more detail on how you managed these shots? How much work goes into post?

I am not usually a fan of sea/landscapes, but these are superb.
