So I've just ordered the last part of my new build, which has been sitting in pieces for a few weeks while I waited for PSlate to open up for orders again.

But cables are ordered and should arrive in the next week or 2.

This is an exciting build for me because it's the smallest I've ever gone.
Slightly less powerful than my last as I've gone from a 2080 to a 5700 XT for one reason: Noise.

This build is aiming to be something of a paradox in the SFF world - powerful and small while maintaining near silence.
The 2080 wasn't capable of achieving this as its fan was always on and it was bloody loud with even a slight load - the 5700XT red dragon is quiet all the time thanks to its 100mm passive fans.

Anyway, I'll be posting pics as I go as usual, but specs for this system are below:

    Case: Velkase Velka5
    CPU: i7 9700k - undervolted
Mobo: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX
    GPU: Powercolor 5700XT Red Dragon
Rest of the parts are standard and very black.

Still making some decisions re lighting. I bought it The Phanteks neon strips which I'm considering setting up inside to add some flow - but space is tight.

Some other fun additions thanks to Warmack Woodworks should round this one out nicely - more to come!

    Cheers,

    Tazor

    Alright y'all - it's finished and it's beautiful!

To begin with, this is how it was when I started:

    Motherboard 'unit' on its own:

This gem of a GPU - happily downgraded from 2080 to this because it is SO much quieter:

PSU with my new cutie cables:

And last, but certainly not least, the pièce de résistance:

With that out of the way, let's get cracking and into the setup:

And she's done, apolopgies for any blurrinesss/graininess on the shots - they look much crisper on the phone that took them xD

Throw any questions at me, but very happy with the final result!

The timber is a very nice touch.
Everyone is trying to improve on the mundane black box with rgb lights and IMO this is much more tasteful. Turns your pc into a piece of furniture.

Looks nice. How is the build quality on the Velkase? I was considering one but ended up going for a pangea ghost s1 with a small tophat
