i have an OR and TF2 not compelled to try it to be honest. tf2 is too fast for a rift.
I'll kick off the update tonight, and shall play Friday night & over the weekend.
50% over healed demo knight with a few heads under his belt is a force to be reckoned with
Have you tried the revamped Chargin' Targe, with Afterburn immunity? I generally use Splendid Screen due to the charge mechanics, but I think this might change my mind...
Finally Valve decides to nerf the biggest joke on the TF2 community somewhat (DR). This is a good thing.
Then they just make another class/setup OP by giving after burn immunity. This makes a pyro essentially useless in relation to a Charging Retard / Sword equipped demo... wft Valve!?
Have they fixed the Quick Fix bug yet?
Are there still plenty of servers around for tf2? Thinking about ditching dota for a while and getting back into some shooting
Yes there certainly are.
There's nothing that a huntsman can't solve.
Just got my first hat drop (exclude Gibus) after 310 hours total gametime... It was an Ellis' cap.
670hrs, still waiting since the gibus
How is TF2 these days? Still good for the odd bash or is the remaining community a bit too serious?
Haven't played it since MvM came out, and hadn't played it for a long time prior to that.
TF2 is the same as it always is. Simply update your game, join the map Turbine, call everyone a faggot and you'll fit right in.
This video is spot on...
Oh, almost forgot, robots!
Might have to get back into it over the weekend.
TF2 has changed a lot over the years. I have taken up to 1 year break before and when I started playing again there was a whole bunch of new hats and effects and weapons that had different pro's and con's. All in all it's always been roughly the same sort of game. Although I must say it was the best a few years ago 2007-2009. Which was around the time new weapons and the trading community were not introduced yet.
I'd say it's pretty similar, there is a lot of variation now so you can't predict what an opponent will do just by their class (medic with a crossbow) but it's still fun. I just run around and shoot/stab for an hour or so a week to get my fix and then leave it at that.
i don't think TF2 changed much. the balance has a bit. spies are very strong now, more so because their skill has gone up. the only rounds i ever lose on pub are when they have a strong spy. keeping teles down and dropping meds being key.
Have to agree about the spies! Even the newest players can still make a killing as spy now, it's crazy.
And please, someone tell me I'm not insane... I stopped playing for probably 5 months or so, and when I came back recently suddenly every spy with an Ambassador is absolutely cleaning up. It used to be that when you encountered a spy with an Ambassador, it was good for a laugh - you could run circles around them all day long and they'd never land a headshot. Now, even the new guys are getting headshot after headshot from all sorts range, it's doing my head in. They MUST have upgraded it at some point in the last 6 months, or changed something else to make it so much more effective (hitboxes, netcode changes?) but no one seems to think so.
Please tell me something changed? Even my best friend has noticed it too, and he never stopped playing. Something happened at some point and now Ambassadors are insane headshot machines
I have to agree with this.
My most favourite map was Hydro. They were the best times.
Realistically the stock loadout is still pretty good
I'm about due for a replay soon actually...
