    Thanks to G Skill for providing some awesome prizes,

    The OCAU HWBOT Team is hosting another competition.

    Show us what you are made of, bench your asses off and have a chance at winning some great enthusiast specced ram packages.

    "Prizes"

    G Skill Trident X 2600 Mhz 8GB

    Ok, so who's drooling ?

    The competition is open to any forum member who is an Aust citizen.

    This comp will consist of three divisions.

    Group 1

    Any AMD platform, Air and water cooling only.

    Group 2

    Intel x58 and earlier, again limited to air and water cooling only.

    Group 3

    Intel P67 P68 Z77 X79 , open cooling

    Points System

    As with the past comps we have held, points will be awarded for each stage

    1st place 10 points

    2nd place 8 points

    3rd place 6 points

    4th place 4 points

    5th place 2 points


    In case of a tie after the 3rd stage a final bench off will be announced

    Stage 1

    Super Pi 8m

    6th May to midnight Sunday 20th May AEST

    Stage 2

    MaxMem

    21st May to midnight Sunday 27th May AEST

    Stage 3

    Maximum Acheived Memory frequency

    28th May to midnight Sunday 3rd June AEST


    The 4th Prize/kit will be awarded for " Most Deserved/Best Effort"

    Competition Rules

    Must use G Skill ram only

    Must use competition wallpaper only

    Must use comp sig for the duration of the of the event

    Must comply with HWBOT rules http://hwbot.org/article/general_rules

    Must show screenshots with a cpu z SPD tab open showing G Skill ram

    You can enter all three divisions.... but only win 1 prize per competitor

    You can sub as many results as you like

    NOTE

    A new anti sandbagging initiative is being used, you MUST sub a result 24 hrs prior to the end of a stage, after intial submit, you can then submit better results if achieved.

    Due to most memory related becnhmarks being heavily cpu affected a LESS than 4 Ghz limit will be in place for the first 2 stages.

    3.99 Ghz accepted

    4.00 ghz not accepted

    No limitation of ram channels in use

    NOTE 2

    Video verification may be requested

    Competition wallpaper and sig will be posted here just prior to the event start time as well as a Submission thread

    so i have two gskill sets i can try out, i bet im not the only one. are you going to make a rule that i can only submit one kind?

    So if i wanna be competitive in group 2 i will need a ddr3 Board and Ram? Gee i feel so backwards now on p45 s775 :upset:

    It's a 4ghz max challenge. You don't need ln2
    Couldnt hurt if you want max memory clocks though.

    I'll have a go with the blue Ares kit. It won't be able to match the high bin kits for the prizes but its capable of a hell of a lot more than 2133 I can tell you ;)
