My iPhone 5 contract is coming to an end in September, so I'm starting to do some research. I'm considering sticking with my iPhone 5 and just going on a new month-to-month plan or even prepaid to save some money...

Because of where we live (Bundaberg), Telstra is really the only reasonable option, Optus has ok coverage but really crappy data speeds (less than 1Mbit/s when I tried Amaysim in my iPad) so I think I should stick with with a carrier on the Telstra network.

What are my options for carriers on the Telstra network? I was looking at a couple of options:
Boost Unlimited Prepaid, $40/mth = unlimited calls, sms and 2gb data, 3G only
Telstra Prepaid, Encore, $50/mth = $950 calls, 3.8gb data (using browse plus pack), 4G
    Aldi Mobile, $30/mth = 650mins calls, 2200sms, 1gb (with option of 1gb for $10), 3G only

    Any other options?

Telechoice is the only other option.

Note that Aldi/Telechoice do not use Telstra's whole NextG network.

I recently switched to Telechoice, and apart from a few hassles during setup, we're happy..
Just into the second month now
    Speed is fine for us..
Signal strength seems ok (have to test country driving yet)
