    Hey guys,
Does anyone know how they make the opaque black borders on tempered window side panels? Is it painted on? Thanks.

    you can paint it.

you can get some aluminium strips, paint and glue them on.

I would use black contact adhesive.Stick it on, and use a box cutter to trim outer edges.

If it's plain black it's usually painted.

If there is artwork in the border, then it might be a reverse mounted decal or film.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Really appreciate it. I might try painting first since that should be the easiest and cheapest route.

I was thinking the same. Got a can of matte black a couple of days ago. Planning on doing something like this. The window tint material appears to be PET according to the listing. Hopefully the paint sticks.
