AmiBay is another good place to offload your stuff and they encourage fair prices.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm away the next couple of weekends, so won't be heading out to the User Group meet. To be honest, I'll have to pull it out of the box and make sure its all still working before bundling it off to someone.

I'm getting all nostalgic hearing about the old games.... might have to make sure the joystick port works properly too ;)

I tried to play some of the old games with winUAE or some other emulator. The problem is I dont have a joystick anymore and trying to play Wizzball or anything without the old joysticks is really hard  Does anyone recommend a good joystick that works or do you use a gamepad for PC Amiga emulation ?

Oh wow! I loved my Amiga 500! Didn't do anything to it because I had no money so if I broke it that was it!

Some games that come to my mind are Operation Wolf, Jimmy White's Whirwhind Snooker, Zool, Zool 2, Lotus Espirit Turbo Challenge, The Addam's family, Wings, North and South, Dragon Ninja, Rick Dangerours and Rick Dangerous II

    I thrashed those games!

Oh and Soccer Kid! Wow that was a really fun game!

Man, Wings was such a GREAT game, first game I can remember that had such a good story and production values to it, and I remember the elation from completing it.

I've got a cheap dualshock-like logitech gamepad which does the trick. Analogue + D-pads are great on ami.
Avoid the wireless version, shocking input lag.

    UAE tips:
Dont forget to bind joystick up to a button (to make a jump button).
Bind 'warp mode' to a key so you can skip disk loading.

Anyone else having problems getting UAE working under win 7?

Every time I try to start it I get a nice fail screen, telling me its corrupt. Doesn't matter what version I use as well.

must admit have not tried it yet.

OK, don't know if this is relevant but I have Amiga Forever 2009 which uses WinUAE under it and I am able to use it on Win7 x32.

Did anyone play Utopia back in early 90's ? Awesome music and atmosphere in the game. A little bit like Sim City in space and with Aliens attacking so you build defence turrets and stuff. Just another one of those games you'd wish someone would remake.

Also Rocket Ranger remake would be cool. There should be a new thread of games you'd wish were remade with todays graphics, effects, sounds, etc.
