AFAIK only Samsung programs can talk to Samsung phone lists

Do you sync your contacts with Google? If you do, you can organise your contacts in Gmail on desktop

    mmm ok..

    1) not all contacts are google contacts.. would like the option to switch between the two..

    2) running CM12.1.. not sure if that changes anything re: samsung phone list.

Hm, if I'm understanding you correctly

Your contacts don't need to be "Google contacts" for them to be synced with Google
Everything is probably already being synced. Have you looked at the contacts area in Gmail on desktop?

If they aren't Google contacts, honestly you should bring them over just give them different labels and sort them - otherwise you run the risk of losing them all.

I tell people to pretend their device could explode or get dropped in a puddle at any minute - then what would you do?

If you answered lose them then.....

Probably a bit late to this but turn off Focused conversations and set notifications to all. I see all my notifications for any received email, not outside my Inbox though.

I don't know why you'd bother separating them, I use GMail for gmail, outlook.com, work and personal POP - easy as.

The MS app is shithouse IMO.

The best app I've found for work emails has been Nine, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninefolders.hd3&hl=en which fully support Outlook.com as well as plenty of other providers.

Looks great, works great, and for work emails, you can opt to only pin lock the app, not the device, which also prevent admins from remote wiping your phone. ;)

Are there any other apps like Google opinion Rewards that give you money on answering surveys?

recently came across a default bloatware app on my S7, "Beaming Service for Samsung". Now it looks like it's the same as the Stocard app. Anyone used both and can compare?

just noticed recently that google photos has uploaded the same bunch of photos 10-15 times each.. i only back up the one folder, and i only use google photos on my phone. If i scan my phone for the pictures, it only brings up the one copy.

anyone think of a reason for this??

What calendar app is everyone using? My missus liked the stock app from my LG G4, and now the S Planner on Galaxy S7. Problem is she hates the stock HTC one she has, and doesn't like the clutter of the Google Calendar app. It's too busy on the month view.

Can I sideload an /apk of the LG/Sammy app? Or is there a better legit offering I can use in the Play Store?

Widgets aren't important. Just a clean interface. She has multiple calendar sources loaded, so the cleaner, the better.
    Cheers.

The LG one was pretty nice IIRC. The google one is good because of what feels like integration but I am not wedded to it. I'd be keen to try others too. That said, I don't use month view. Too much shit daily for month view to be useful

Ha! Fat chance. My girlfriend (who is also married, yes, we're polyamorous) has two kids, so amongst scheduling school, specialist appointments, extra shifts, her hubby's travels, my rotating shift work, etc. Yep, it's pretty busy.

yeah well, maybe switch away from a month view or into a daily or weekly - calendar overload isn't something you can magically fix imo.
