Does anyone know what the bowling game is that's featured in the trailer for the Desire?
*EDIT* dainese, one of your links is broken above. They both link to the same story.
I saw the same a while back, 15 minutes of frantic Googling later I found out that apparently it's just a mockup for the ad.
Damn. I was kinda suspicious that one could control the spin of the ball mid-roll But it did look fun.
*EDIT* Yeah there's a few comments about it on the same video I linked.
seeing marvel vs SF on the droid impressed me enough, so much so that I have a new project coming up
does droid have any lock screen app's like lockinfo on the iphone?
checking quickly email's and calender events?
sms that have come in and not been read, etc. etc.
Yes it does, but I can't remember where I saw it.
Ah here ya go, buddy
I haven't tried it myself, nor do I know if there's anything better than it, but at least it's something.
used these, and can confirm they are great.
would like to try this though
I have these installed and in-use on my Milestone with 2.1 (rooted):
Abduction World Attack
Winds of Steel
Android System Information
Better Terminal Emulator
Cache Mate (needs root)
drocap2 (needs root)
Google Sky Map
Hacking (O'Reilly E Book)
Market Enabler (needs root)
Metamorph (needs root)
Milestone Overclock (needs root)
Root Explorer (needs root)
Security Warrior (O'Reilly E Book)
SetCPU (needs root)
Snesoid (Paid Version)
SPB TV (expensive at $9.99 USD - but NASA TV anywhere is worth it IMO )
All work well, and are very useful. I find I use my Milestone more and more instead of my laptop now thanks to the increase in quality apps. Hopefully we should start seeing more with Android beating the iPhone in the OS market share worldwide now
Where do you guys get your apps from?
I've been getting mine from http://www.appbrain.com, but the site is hard to navigate IMO.
I'd like something that you can search based on number of downloads / rating.
But most importantly, I'd like a site that has QR Codes for the downloads. I came across one site last night, but I can't find it again.
was it androlib by any chance?
they have QR codes for all of theirs, can't remember if there was a rating system as well though as i haven't visited it for a while (website looks really low rent)
wow, I didn't even know you could download outside of the market...
welcome google android.
see ya later itunes
Nope, but it's better than the one I stumbled across. Thanks.
I just installed Swype today on my Desire. Man it rocks.
Direct download link to .apk file:
I've been using Appbrain as well for the sync and downloads (being able to queue things up on the PC and then have them list in appbrain's app is great) but I also end up checking over at Androlib because they also list permissions.
Appbrains app and sync seem to work well, and they allow you to sign in with a Google account, saves keeping another set of username/passwords (and google sign-in doesn't submit your password to the third party developer).
It is pretty brilliant, completely different way to input text. Been looking for this for a while.
HTC_IME keyboard is the best (even works with Froyo)
Launcher Pro is easily the quickest launcher.
I'm thinking of switching to droid, but is there a good GPS navigation app?
