can anyone recommend a free, really easy to use, works 100%, Wifi direct app? want to throw files back'n'forth between two (android) phones
Ive used Mi Drop in the past, an app by Xiaomi, but Files Go, (or whatever Google call it now), also seems to work OK for infrequent use so am using that one now. Both are free and work fine.
looking for a SMS app that has templates feature, preferably from fdroid I find I'm SMS'ing the same 4 contacts, would like to have a pre-saved template/greeting
anyone found a dialer app which can show the company name as well on an incoming call? I have so many customers in my contacts, always handy to see the company name So it would say: John Smith +61123456789 Google Inc on an incoming call.
I'm looking for a 360 degree camera app. Any recommendations? I don't want an ad suppored app, happy to pay up to 10 Google bucks.
The stock google camera app does 360 degree photos really well using its photosphere option. But that's for pixel and Google phones. You might be able to find a gcam port for your model There's one for the Nokia 7 here Link
Can you believe Spotify removed the andoird widget in their latest app version? some fury around the world on the matter
I don't use Spotify. But does it have a drop down menu and lock screen widget like most other music players? Is the widget really needed?
Ah! You sound like spotify themselves! The controls only appear when player is on or active. So the app must remain persistent to do
Oh yea, so you could start playing through the widget itself. That makes sense. I'm sure someone will take advantage of the loss and make an app that will do something similar soon.
They are bringing the widget back. https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Android-Android-Widget/idc-p/4816559#M183115
Did anyone get a discount voucher for the pixel 3 by email recently by any chance? If someone's not using it, please. Me and I would love to grab it please
I'd love this too. Blowing my mind that this isn't a common issue. Have a shedload of clients calling me and some I may not speak to frequently, good to be prompted with critical additional info, like their company name. My 'hack' for now is to enter their details as: John Smith GOOGLE INC +61123456789 But that fails when you want to merge contact details from various communication platforms.
