I have nothing useful to add as a solution as I have been dragged to the iside due to rest of family imessage, ifindmychild and ischooleverything. What I can say is my mate has a company phone that pulls the details of a number from the CRM. If the CRM is accurate it works.

G'day, going on with calls as above, I have looked through this thread (lots to go through!) as I've just recently changed from iPhone to galaxy s10, my only 1 issue is not being able to see all my voicemails in a list like on the iPhone, as I get quite a few a day. Is there a recommended app for this? (I'm on Telstra).

    Apart from that, great device.

The feature you're describing is Visual Voicemail, but I don't think it can be enabled by an app without the cooperation of the carrier.

IIRC, with Telstra if you switch from Samsung's Messages app to the Google Messages app you'll get something similar to Visual Voicemail - voicemail will show up as an audio clip in your messages history with that person.

with optus i had to get the carrier to swap.
I wanted the old method, of dialing 321 and then hearing my VMs
this works as i use android auto.

receiving it as an audio clip i cannot play it on android auto without touching the phone

Cheers for the responses. I currently Get the voicemails received in a message which is better than nothing. But chasing down voicemails from unknown numbers is a lot tricker. Not being able to answer the phone regularly during the day means I deal with voicemails in the evening in one hit. Looks like I may be stuck with what seems a backwards move!

Apart from that the phone is great.

Couple of wifi apps I've been using quite a bit recently which are really helpful: NetXPro (signal strength and list of devices with other info) and also Telstra Home DashBoard so you can map out the wifi strength throughout the home with your own custom floor plan.

Not sure if this is the right thread or not but anyway.
Looking for a free (preferably ad free too) music player for an android head unit in the car.
Can't remember the original it came with but I couldn't get the stupid thing to sort music properly. I've installed VLC and it's okay but I was wondering if there is something else that others are using.
Doesn't need to be fancy, doesn't need internet, doesn't really need to show album covers or anything just something that plays mp3's etc.

Also is there such a thing as an offline AM radio app, I've got an FM radio app which works fine but I read somewhere that developers don't like making AM radio apps.

AIMP is free and ad free.

Very light and basic.....still file based playlists rather than a library.

Still using it on both the PC and the phone.

I thought this might be interesting to some people..
I love using google assistant to do things but don't love talking to it, so I end up typing most of my commands.

Google has made a new app that lets you add desktop shortcuts for any assistant commands

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/....android.apps.accessibility.maui.actionblocks

It's technically meant to be for people with limited abilities but it's super handy for anyone who wants to be discreet

Started off with Adventure Capitalist and Idle Miner Tycoon. I like the cookie clicker style.

Recently played Armoury & Machine 2, that had promise, but something didn't gel with me.

Today i clocked Exponential Idle. That was enjoyable because it had an endgame, but it was pretty much on rails. Just reset/prestige many times until you get to the end.
