    So whens an equalizer for android coming? It's killing me that something so basic, and absolutely essential in my opinion isn't included, it was one of the main reasons I never bought Ipods and always went for the competition, I didn't even think for half a second that android wouldn't have one...

    any good budget apps on the android?

    i've been using homebudget on the iphone, and thats probably the only app thats making me stick towards the iphone.

    hopefully the developers release one on the droid as well.

    Just a heads up with wyse (cheers for the link by the way :thumbup:):

    If you're trying to connect to a Windows 7 desktop using RDP, make sure you have "Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure)" selected under "Remote Settings" from within Windows 7. It won't be able to connect if you are using the option... "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure)"

    Ahh... why does it have to pause between words? That extra second to recognise the end of a word just counteracts the "intelligence" of the keyboard. At least Swype can predict your words, and all you have to do is lift your finger for a brief second to complete the word. Swype is the fastest and most accurate keyboard I've ever used.

    Now, does anyone have a link to a good pedometer/distance tracking app. I don't care if it uses the phones sensors, or GPS, I just want something simple that will tell me how far I've walked.

    Here is the link I used for my HTC Legend. I looked at the video and though swype was a bit dumb, but having used it for a day....it is an amazing application.

    Download

    Copy to SD card

    Open with Astro --> Launch App Manager --> Install

    Settings-->Language and Keyboard --> Tick Swype

    Swype settings --> Tutorial

    Then in your app ie SMS...tap and hold a text field
    Input Method--> Swype

    BlindType is more tolerant...but I think Swype is faster.

    I think they target different markets too.. sure BT may not even be that good on a smartphone simply because the screen is too small. But on a tablet or as demonstrated in the video on an iPad.. well.. different matter. I can't really imagine Sywping my fingers on a tablet.

    And it also has larger implications outside of Android. You can literally type anywhere.. as long as you are consistent in your spacing per word you can type anywhere and on anything.. as long as there is something there to detect your keystrokes. You could type in thin air.

    I couldn't get it working on my N1 though (keyboard wouldn't display at this point). Thanks anyway! Was worth a shot :)

    Still searching for a good app to do the above.

    Now I'm also after an app, which I've seen somewhere, but can't find it now. It's an app backup program, something that can move your installed apps to the SD card, then back again when you want it.

    Thanks mickeylieu, just what I was looking for! :thumbup:

    Archie, I too used Laputa, but it was clunky and cheapish. I just installed Aldiko http://www.aldiko.com/index.html
    It too has lots of free books (and real free books, not knockoffs like Harry Potter).
    What I like is a night time mode, where it flips the contrast to a white text on black background. Much easier on the eyes, and you can alter the brightness at any time by swiping your finger up/down the left edge.

    Oh, and it moves all your books to SD once you've installed them, and conveniently moves your books "off the shelf" once you've finished reading them :thumbup:

    Just another bump for Zenonia. Such a great and awesome little game.

    Keep watching the official Swype website, though. All these unofficial leaks will stop working after a certain time.
