quota devs will not be happy to hear such accusations, I've been using quota and haven't noticed such abnormalities.

I will test one day of 3G with no usage at all, 11pm-11pm.

needs more feedback from the rest

So i just bought my 1st Android device, wondering what apps are a must have. Not really into games much just looking for apps that add some kind of 'ease of use' if that makes sense

    Ease of use huh.

Ok, if you use your calendar, look into "Smooth Calendar" its a widget that would give you (up to) 6 of your next upcoming events on your home screen. If you want a pro looking calendar, consider changing your "launcher", which is just what android uses to open apps. Its like changing away from Windows Explorer to something else on a windows system.

As for weather and time, the best out there is Beautiful widgets and Fancy Widgets, equally. Both have great features and skins etc, but Fancy Widgets seem much less processor intensive.

If you make the daily commute in your car and need things to generally turn on and off when you want, get "Timerriffic", it allows you to set times for services such as bluetooth and wifi to turn on and off. For myself, I have bluetooth turn on for the average 30min period I drive to work, it auto-connects to my headunit, and turns off when I get to work. Same as wifi turns on when I get home and turns off when I leave in the morning. Saves a lot of battery life imho.

Thats all I can think of atm that would make your life easier with the phone. :)

Oh, and for everyone in general, have a look at "Rain?" on the market, it grabs data from the BOM rather than an overseas source and shoes you the radar map including how logn ago the image was taken. Really good, but oddly hard to find, its like the 15th thing after searching exactly for "Rain?" lol.

    Edit: here it is: https://market.android.com/details?id=net.wemakeapps.rain.android&feature=search_result
Its on the 3rd page when you search for "Rain?" wtf.

I just switched over to QuickPic, mentioned above, a few days ago, and it's great. Before that, I was using Gallery 3D which looks quite nice and which I had been using for a few months, but isn't as fast as QuickPic.

I find AussieWeather great if you just want to view BOM radar images.

Hey wow, quickpic is great. Ta for that. Standard gallery blows.

Oh also, replace standard SMS program with GO SMS Pro.
