temp anomality cant be from evap bowing (as in rising until it hits those high temps and then falling off

evap is fine mate its not that

I meant the actual idle/load core temperature differences.

yeah i will do a quick sand

i think it's actually to do with the way the enclosure sits on the top ring of evap putting more pressure on one side of evap than the other to be honest after having a look last night

Yeah that would make for one sweet single stage. You going to mod it?

Depends how much it costs me =) As for modding it, I'd have to talk to Kayl and get a quote.

i think i found the problem with mount issues on big SS

the ring on the evap was loose and one side collapsed

i tried to tighten it by it broke and the spare one i got sent it not the right size...it's bigger than this evap argh :(

i'll PM kayl to see if he has smaller ones

Bummer, should be an easy fix

Second mach unit pretty much done after some initial setbacks. I'm using a Vapo flexi suction line, because the Mach one's are really crap. Both of them where broken.

Tidying up the cap tube wrapped around the SLA. Used approx 2.7m .030mm cap length.

Re-Routed the captube to the backside of the unit ready for joining near the start cap.

Stuffed it back into the case. Really tight fit now due to the insulation.

    Reinstall the Mach thermal probe.

Initial quick test evac & charge.

i had a similar problem with kayl's old mounting enclosure with the clip.. had to stuff with it quite a bit to get an even mount as it was a bit warped/bent.. his new enclosure's do away with the clip/washer (if ya didnt already know :D) ..just foam inserts and away you go..

    nice work c-buzz

    Thx mate

Heh, the Mach2 GT readout seems to be a little diff to the Mach. Not reading correctly so it's not much use unless you got all the electronics installed. I've hardwired the compressor so just plug it in & it runs

Yeah controllers are way off anyway.

Suction line insulated, I ran out of black so had to use red  Stuck the old Mach hose lining back on. Not really sure why I did that, makes it look weird because it wasn't long enough.

put the new ring in and still have the same problem
20C + difference in cores during load bah :(

[edit] i pulled the temp probe and fiddled some more with the housing the way it sits on top and stuck the temp probe on side of CPU IHS

temps under load were better now..............9C difference between cores and also last time temps spiked to 65C during CPU test on core 0 with 4.1GHz 1.611vcore 3dmark06....this time it was 49-44-48-40 so better than before but still a bit out

i might pull off that megamount and give that a crack on this unit and see what it does when i get a chance

oh btw during CPU test the probe was reporting -15.5C temps wedged at the edge of CPU IHS >> idles around -30C normally...might be a better way of measuring these temps imo

Dunno man that's a strange problem. Either it's not sitting flush up against the housing somehow, or the block is bowed/warped.
