lol i hope it works
Someone said if 3 uses the Telstra network when you get out of range....they charge you a bucketload??
Correct its called roaming.
What the hell is with Three waiting to give iPhone prices? If they don't give them by the end of the day I might just end my contract and move to Vodafone. Same parent company but at least I have a fucking clue about what I'm buying. There is absolutely no reason why they haven't given them out apart from just wanting to stir up controversy.
I am with 3 now, and i have not found that.
Yeah, Its annoying me as well, cause i want to go with Three, but they are pretty much not giving me any information.
/me enjoys his iphone 3g in the mean time
Any speculations as to whether Apple are going to seal this tethering mobileconfig profile hack/change to stop people from tethering?
I am also with 3 and have not found this, however my typical usage is the 3 pages and Facebook both of which are free to use. It may differ with regular web browsing/tethering.
Has anybody seen a plan with 2gb min. data and allowed tethering?
The top Vodafone plan is 2GB. They allow tethering for no charge. They say they are bringing in bigger limits soon to accommodate for tethering.
I noticed those but decided $100+ a month is too much for a damned phone.
EDIT: It would be nice to have an option for your basic $200 inc. credit w/, say, 3-4gb download for something like $79.95 a month. A plan more focused on the iPhone as a data device.
Same. These plans are annoying, no carrier has the perfect mix. It's either a reasonable price one is willing to pay for but short of what you need or for 30% more which just over budget and waaay waaay too much data that you wont ever need.
News just in from the sydney apple store:
Apple store will sell unlocked 3GS Iphones starting tomorrow :
16G $879, 32G $1040
for 1040 you're better off getting an optus $19 plan. you pay about $60 more and you get the calls.
Yep I agree with you.
how about 8 gig 3gs?
You can buy the 3GS outright, unlocked but only in person from an Apple store... there are only 5 Apple Stores and 4 of them are in NSW/VIC
What about the rest of the country?!
well it would be an expensive from for them, and a long trip
move to a better city
