Why would people sign up to 3 rather than Voda
Still in the chadstone line, since 7:30am, nearly to the end now
Dedicated i must say!
Got my phone last night...
Waited maybe 45 mins in the line at Vodafone/Three..
They pulled me to the front cause I was with Three =]
Free drinks/food at The Ivy, then called down to get my phone just after 12:30am
Apparently they only had 300 units!.. there were atleast 1k people lined up..
a pic i took of the chadstone line at around 1:30 today
Vodafone use vodafone towers. Three use three towers.. Vodafone reception is shit where i live with Three being slightly more bearable... Otherwise i'd have gone voda..
I want to go with Telstra but why oh why do they have the sign up fee and the $199 unlock fee?
That is so expensive. They could have lines as big as Optus if they lowered or removed these. Especially the sign up fee.
EDIT - I am in idiot. I thought you had a montly fee to pay as well. Think I will go Telstra for sure
Sounds pretty cool. If I'd known about the Ivy deal prior I'd have gone down for it. I've been with Vodafone for 10 years.. completed my second two year contract just recently. But their local support (Central Coast) sucks.. not a single phone in stock in stores here. Sigh.
Thats the picture i encountered...lol at the guy with his iPad out (looks like it is)
No online pre-orders at store.apple.com.au and still no pricing on their web site. I wonder how many more people are queuing up because of this?
It's rediculous that none of this information is available on their web site even after launch. Someone at apple definitely dropped the ball.
I saw a few iPads in the Optus queue in Melbourne CBD.
Year the bad signal is what stopped me from getting one.
A workmate just brought his in, all I can say is the screen is freaking amazing.
I haven't seen anything like it before, not that I have used any great screens in the past, but anyway, its just so clear.
Does Telstra allow teethering?
And also was there ever a network unlock Jailbreak for the other Iphone's ie where I didn't have to pay Telstra but could get it done at the dodgy asian shop.
If you're asking this in relation to the iphone 4, it's not a telstra thing. It's an iOS4 function. I've had teethering running on 3GS since iOS4 beta.
Just upgrading online to 32g iPhone 4.. Just gotta wait now till they have stock and hopefully i get it delivered soon
Anyone know whats going on with virgin? i got put on some list at a virgin kiosk and been checking the website regularly but they aren't letting you buy online and i've had no contact at all.
Actually, the carriers can block it if they want. They can also charge more for data done via tethering. Just look at what AT&T do in the USA
anybody get the bumper case app working yet?
The bumper promo app is only listed as USA for the moment. Not sure if its meant to work for us let.
