They supported 900MHz GSM (voice) just not 900MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (3G). So there shouldn't be a difference for voice coverage, just data.

I have a SwitchEasy CapsuleRebel case on my 3G, very happy with it. They don't seem to have a similar case for the iPhone 4, only the colors model which isn't too exciting.

Hey my mum has just signed with Optus on their $59 plan for the new iphone 4 32gb, she has just finished a 3 2 year contract a few days ago....

Her plan is set to start tomorrow. Is she able to change to the $79 cap as it doesnt include an extra $10 a month for the handset? So effectively she pays $10 more for $250 extra cap value...

She won't insert her sim in her current phone (iphones obviously sold out) till she's asked tomorrow.

    Any ideas?

    Seriously ?

Just call Optus and talk to Sales. I'm sure there's a high chance of a bit of leeway in going up a plan...

Can anyone point me in the direction of the best iPhone 4 cases in Australia.

I would love a vajacase or Vapor4, but they are all overseas and costs a fortune.

Any local cases of the same quality?

I just got a Gecko one from JB.

They've got a few, Gecko, Belkin and another brand.

I'll be ordering a Vapor4 as soon as they're avalible with the CF backing.

Really stupid but I've only now realised I can't video call over 3G like I used to be able to with my old Samsung. Facetime only works with WiFi and my bro interstate doesn't have that. Apparently the 'fring' app lets you do so? Anyone tried Facetime or Fring yet?
Really can't believe it cannot do traditional 3G video calls.

This has been asked and answered - FaceTime will be supported over 3G in the near future but due to US network capability it just wasn't possible at the time the thing was actually launched.

Well that's why I was wondering about whether the link previously was good enough to cancel out the issue.

Can anyone recommend a good clear screen protector other than Zagg? My friend's got a Zagg InvisibleShield and I find it feels too 'sticky' and isn't quite invisible enough :p

    Ah... cool.

We managed to get it working but flaky as hell. One of us kept dropping out.

SGP or PowerSupport. I have an SGP (the EX Ultra Crystal full body) and I love it, its brilliant, but there are lots of people out there who love the Powersupport too.

This is what I've ordered. Very clear (crystal clear some may say :p)but the downside is that scratches show up a little too easily.

My sister nabbed an iPhone and she was over yesterday.

I threw her on my wireless network and tried to Facetime and it wouldn't work.

So I called me on her phone, and she didn't even have the Facetime option.

    Anyone know about this?

I bought two phones, one came with FaceTime on, one with it off. Confused me for a while. Both still say FaceTime is waiting for activation yet it works fine.

    FaceTime tunnel!

Has anyone found a cheap pouch for the phone? Looking for something cheap to tie me up till I get my Apple bumper. Would love the Sena one but not for that price!
