The Ghetto Mod Thread

    You guys really need to neaten up the insides of them casez...

    OK, let's do it !!!

    Step 1 - Gather the raw materials...

    Step 2 - Remove the filler core from the oracord...

    [​IMG]

    Step 3 - Get access to the internals...

    [​IMG]

    Step 4 - Always use an adhesive-lined shrink to prevent slippage...

    Step 5 - Trim carefully (measure twice, cut once)...

    [​IMG]

    Step 6 - Crimp the other end...

    And you're good to go...

    I used to have an Identical card. It would heat up to over 100*C runnning furmark. GF 8xxx series really need to stay cool, since they're all affected by the soldering/substrate defect.

    On my old mobo, the fan on the top GPU would hit the mounts for the bottom fan and stop spinning (thus overheating)

    Good ol lego to the rescue (1x6 Tile for those playing at home)

    Under that sticker would be the model number of the board whose PCB was used (maybe they ran out). Same thing on my GA-EP45-UD3, it uses a UD3R PCB.
