This! Hopefully they have a happy holidays with there family. Can’t imagine a more stressful time of the year with a game launching in first quarter.

Just got an email from Amazon

    Much sad

Tinfoil side of me wonders if it's so the PS5 version can come out as a launch title without being stale/a year old

Hrm I thought I'd pre-ordered this on Amazon, but it's not in my list. Maybe they canned it after the delay.

Anyways, a big fat "meh" from me to special editions. Happily buying the standard edition of this.

The the special edition gives you the following:
    • 48 Page Mini Art Book from Dark Horse
    • SteelBook Case including Full Game
    • PS4 Dynamic Theme**
    • Set of 6 PSN Avatars**

    And a pre-order earns you:
    • Ammo Capacity Upgrade: Instantly unlock an ammo capacity upgrade for Ellie’s pistol.
    • Crafting Training Manual: Instantly unlock the Crafting Training Manual, which provides access to new crafting recipes and upgrades*

I'm a fanboy, but not enough to warrant a SE purchase. Unless the SE includes more, please correct me.

that's it pretty standard (heh) for a "special" edition. What can I say, i like steelbooks. The Collectors i highlighted a while ago has a bunch of other tat but it's also double the price.

Not dissing btw, I respect that a lot would pay for the extras

I just checked the collectors edition. Looks good. What’s the quality of the statues like, generally?

Art books are generally what I want out of a special edition (steelbooks don't interest me, I don't have the space for endless figurines). But for some reason artbooks from "realistic" looking modern games just don't do it for me. Hand drawn stuff - I'm all over that. I'll buy those art books every time. But for this one, I think I'm just happy with the game itself.

And like Chino, no hate from me on anyone who wants the SE for this one. I'm cool with people buying whatever they want. Each to their own.

i don't buy statues but from what i've heard the are quite hit and miss. Being from Sony i reckon it'd be top shelf. Hey it's not a Bethesda product haha.

will be interested to see what the statue is like even though i'd never buy it myself. and big kudos to EB for still doing good pre-orders. That's where i ordered FFVII Remake.
