This new Game Awards trailer is so good, I'm just in love with the tone, the music, pretty much everything.

I hope that's Wii U footage, because it appears to be 720p upscaled to 1080

(not that eye candy has ever been my reason for loving nintendo titles)

WiiU vs Switch comparison. The Switch's wider colour gamut is on display here, with HDRI being a major difference.

Switch version has that gross fog effect that heaps of games had last year, the Wii U one doesn't use it as much (though some scenes do still seem to use it)

I'm convinced - trading in the Wii U for a switch. I would rather have the best Zelda experience since we've waited this long

The thing that makes this the most exciting is that the Switch is portable. Imagine having this experience on the go... yummy.

It's interesting to see how divided people are about it being portable

    Extreme ends seem to be

    - Love that it's portable, adds so many options
    - Why the hell is it portable, who asked for this? I just want another xbox station 7
    - I never wanted it to be portable, and won't ever take it out of the dock, but I'm still going to shit on the battery life which is better than the 3ds nyaaaaaa!

Yup, that's the selling point for me. Play on the big telly, wife wants to watch the news, unplug and go sit on the back deck with the handheld version for a bit. Sweet.

I skipped the WiiU, so I'm pretty sure I'll buy this with a Switch on release, and then get a WiiU in 6 months when the prices come crashing down.

Artistically, I think I also prefer the WiiU version for the indoor scenes where link is in that tank/bath thing.

Check the outdoor scenes by comparison. Where the WiiU shows the "exit the cave and see the sky" shot, you see terrible colour banding across the sky. Conversely, smooth colour gradients on the Switch. Definitely sexier on the Switch for outdoor scenes.

Either way, all reports are that Nintendo are aiming for a solid 60FPS on both consoles, which is all I ask for. Next-gen graphics be damned, I just want a smooth game, even if it looks ugly.

Thats the best so far, EB won't even bother price matching it which is a shame.
