Borddens used at this place in Sydney's north:
ding ding ding, we may be on to something. not too far from me either, will check it out
hmm, the plot thickens..
Out of curiosity I searched reddit for mayo, came across a couple of pics of food service style mayos from US which come in 1 gallon tubs, I'm thinking this is going to be the same style of container that borddens uses. Part of me is thinking that perhaps they're all made by the same manufacturer but given different labels for different markets?
May end up seeing if usafoods can get this one in again if I've no luck sourcing borddens:
Had a look at google street views history.. had my doubts whether this place used to be an ogalo as I don't frequent out that way often these days (used to live in Brookvale, now at St Ives), there were a few chicken shops along Pittwater road as I remember, but considering it was an ogalo franchise they're likely still using the same stuff!
God bless google keeping their street view history!
Also found a few places with the spelling "bourden's" mayonnaise which seem to be in 1gal/3.5kg tubs - although again all food service only places.
Jesus you guys are like dope fiends
If i dont get my mayo fix
I need it and i need it now!
Surely you guys havent given up?
Tried to cook my own portugese burger today http://australianfood.about.com/od/meats/r/BondiBurger.htm (with some much needed adjustments) and turned out heaps good with kewpie
but still not the same :/
if kewpie was a little less vinegary, it would be bang on perfect replica for mcchicken sauce.
Yeah, kind of gave up and put it in the too hard basket
5 years later I did it guys
Is it as good as you want it to be?
Holy crap, the size of them
