What would be incredibly cool is if you used that little timer in the top right corner of the Microwave as a temperature monitor or something similar.

Now that would be an awesome mod, im tempted to try it with a old toaster and a mini-itx motherboard ive got coming i was going to use as a torrent server. Though it wouldnt look like it as i would need a little bit more space than is available in that.

Does anyone have an old toaster they wouldnt mind donating for a cause? If no i would be willing to try a kettle, hmm that could be interesting and quite a challenge getting the board into one of those.

Hahaha, kettle would be great - until someone filled it up with water to brew a hottie...

Haha, this is pretty damn cool. As long as it doesn't interfere with 2.4Ghz Cordless phones and WiFI networks like real microwaves can :p

At a basic level, its simply a case of connecting the little power transformer for the front panel to the mains. Chuck the high voltage big transformer with the lethal if charged capacitor and microwave device.

Have you thought about sticking one of those old temperature monitors where the lil timer on the microwave would go, think the brand was Senfu back in the day
