Absolutely. I've watched a bit of how museum do their things. They have departments dedicated to designing ways to display the items. Like if it's a piece of jewelry, they don't just put it on a table. They have to make some sort of display for it. It's actually pretty cool. But another reason why the ships has to go below is because the top is far more interesting than the bottom. It's a carrier so there are landing strips, planes, etc on the top.

All the 1/6 are in now. There's around a full shelf empty overall and the side cabinet has room for more too.
Going to spread them out a bit next. Also have to sort out the 1/1 cabinets.

Saber Alter with Cuirassier Noir arrived today. She's pretty nice. :D Had to open the door to get a decent shot because it's too much reflection otherwise.

Some new arrivals. Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Version. It's unlicensed 3rd party so the head sculpt is still no quite there yet. But still better than the other one.

And also diecast Hot Toys MK VII from Avenger 1. :D

Made my final payment on the Warhammer 1/6 diorama today. Hoping that I will shortly receive the next bit of the puzzle which is the shipping information. Looks like I used the six months of lead time well to completely fail to sort out my display cabinet situation. Good work me.

Yeah, shipping is estimated at between USD250 and USD300. I might have to get a crane to get it upstairs.

It is a lot and I suspect that perhaps they are over estimating.

The main character in "real life" is just under 2.5m tall and it is a 1/6 scale. If I can't get it through the door I will put it on my front balcony overlooking the street to spread the glory of the Imperial Truth to joggers and small children as they pass by.

Well maybe. They just tend to be regular bad dudes not superheroes dressed up in costumes. But some of them are quite distinctive though. Oddjob, Jaws....

Sometimes collectors buy figurines just because they look cool but if you were into James Bond, having a collection of the villains that you would recognise and could occasionally chat about with friends and/or relatives would be sweet.

Yes, and given it's one of the biggest franchises of all time, with amazingly distinctive characters I think it's a worthy addition to any collection

Don't personally follow the 1/6 scene for James Bond but I do know there are a few 007 figures out there. Don't think anyone made any bad guys though. Typically with less popular figures or non-main characters the chance of them getting made is pretty much nil. Some people do pay extra to try to custom assemble their own from various bits n pieces. Like getting someone to sculpt the head (most important part), then buying a suit and body to attach the head do.

Sigh. So having now followed up with the manufacturer of my diorama thingy I am told that there has been a delay because COVID-19. When I asked if they were going to tell the customers I got response saying they put it on Facebook. Getting tired of businesses that think a third-party data harvesting platform is some kind of professional means of communication.
