That thing looks hideous lol  If you're looking for vintage looking statues or a fan of that guy's work I guess you'd buy it. But these days there are far more detailed and better looking sculpts out there.

Pretty popular line. They're kinda like in between hot toys and a toy. It's too expensive to buy for kids as toys, it's not good enough to be high end collectible. Quality is decent though.

the asking price of like 100 euros on average over at the square enix store is getting close to collectable range. from reviews it seems the quality of the figs varies depending on the design decisions in terms of their posability.

Well... $100 euro is entry level pricing in the collectible game. :) Most hot toys now starts around $350 mark and goes up to $1600 for the Hulk Buster. Most Iron man figures floats around $500-700. That's the new pre-order price. Once the supply dries up, the price goes up stupidly. Like some of my 1/6 die cast Iron Man were around $400-500, now they're almost double that.

I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this thread, but looking at RyoSaeba's glass display cabinet makes me want to make one for my study, and since I can't work at the moment, now might be the time to do it.
I planned on making it when we first moved in to our place 10 years ago, and my stuff has been in the server room ever since.
In case you can't tell, I like Final fantasy, Neon Genesis and Ghost in the shell. The FF ones are mostly all from the same Square Enix play arts series. The smaller ones are from various shops in Akiharbara, and so are the NGE / Kusanagi / Tachikoma from about 10 years ago.

Yeah, I wouldn't call myself a serious collector in that I have a very specific line of items that I collect however when it comes to those items the price is often upwards of $500. Most I paid was for the Primarch statue which was nearly $2000 and I haven't even assembled it yet. Planning my lounge room redesign to put all of the cabinets in there still :(.

DO IT! DO IT DO ITTTTTTTTTTTT!!! :D Once you have a nice display, you'd want to fill it out hehe.
I have the PG Eva 01 too but just the regular version. It's on my very long list of things I need to build hahaha I have at least half a dozen PG kits backlog... :Paranoid: Speaking of Akiba I so want to go back. Also the Yokohama 1:1 gundam just finished building last week and will open around October! So looking forward to that. Already planning a trip in a couple of years. Hopefully Covid is over by then.
I think we have the same Cloud figure. But I got the one with the bike. I got another 2x 1/6 scale Tifa from the Remake version coming and a Cloud too.
