    I'll start with mine.

    Sony VGN-S260 S series
    Centrino 1.73ghz
    2 x 512mb Microdimm
    ATi Mobility 9200
    13.3" Xbrite WS LCD

i'm thinking of upgrading my S to a SZ this year, but i'm a little biased towards the wedged design sony has thought up for the new SZ's. I also prefer the curves on my S series, big dilemma now as my laptop will be my only computing device when I move back.

    SR Photos from USA

Hi, There are actual photos of the SR Series on the following site. These were captured at an electronic store website, but has since been taken down, because it was not meant to be posted to begin with. Hope this helps in your curiosity, however there has been no photos of the Z series in circulation.

I think you may have to register to actually view images. Images are on the second posts of page 42 and throughout this thread. If you read and look through the entire thread, they show more photos and further discussion and information on the 2008 Sony Vaio Models: FW, SR, and Z Series.

You may have to register to view the images, once you go to the link, photos are on the 2nd post. The avatar on this post (picture below VaioCouture) depict the Sony Vaio SR Series.

Wait for the Z series, it will be launched in the USA either July or August '08 and its to replace the SZ, which will be a 13.1 LED Screen and Blu-Ray.

    Hey guys,

My GF has the VGNC25GP and the battery just died and the service centre tells me that it's not covered in the extended warranty (bought from Sony) and they have a replacement for me costing $400.

So I looked up Ebay and found a no-name brand for $50 in HK or $150 in AU.

Anyone got any experience with using a no-name in their Vaio?

Yes, I have a Sony Vaio SZ18 series machine - and the battery lasted about 2 years. I also have an older Vaio 505. Bought batteries on ebay, and they have been fine. I decided to go for the larger cell battery for the SZ18 - it sticks out an extra inch at the back, but lasts a lot longer than the original.

    Hi guys,

    Ive got a VGN-NR21Z (black)

    Core 2 duo T8100 (2.1Ghz)
    3GB RAM
    250 GB HDD
    Nvidia 8400m GT CPU
    Vista Ultimate

pretty sweet rig. I dual screen it to my 24 inch lcd monitor.

The amount of bloatware that came with the vaio was/is annoying otherwise it is an awesome piece of kit.
