I'm with you 100%, even going from 1440 vertical to 1080 is very difficult.
I got VR for the vision when I need it. i'll stick to my 4k 40" 16:9
For me heaven is:
144 or higher Hz
2560x1440 (and a 3440 variant)
HDR1000 (1000+ peak nits, infinite contrast ratio with microled, ultra high color gamut)
4k is really a joke for gaming on a 27/32 screen it's just not enough of a visual jump to half your performance. Some tests been done and alot of people can't even tell diff between 1440 and 4k on 27" mid game on a first person shooter.
Give me higher fps any day.
Isn't hdr1000 eyeball blasting pointless on monitor distances?
It's a peak and it's usually briefly and in small areas. If the artist wants you to squint they can make you. The picture as it was intended and the beauty of HDR.
cant wait to blow 2k i dont have on a wideboi that gets btfo by a 16:9 4k 120hz+ tv with dp1.5 and hdmi2.1+
LOL and yeah the TV probably costs half the monitor. Goddamned economies of scale
And 55" (too big) and high input lag no thx
Pretty dam nice.
Ive got the 75hz Acer 38" and i find the size/resolution to be nearly perfect.
While higher refresh would be nice, even 75 over 60 is a nice improvement.
I dont think i play enough games to justify it though....
I was going to go 38" but i wanted teh higher refresh rate and personally i dont like the ultra wides, so i ended up with an asus rog 32" 16:9, 1440p and i think it is perfect for gaming. Can run everything maxxed with 2080ti, games are butter smooth and now that gsync works with freesync/adaptive sync I can't complain.
It's a nice monitor.
This looks awesome. Any idea on release date?
32" @ 1440 is eye shatteringly low DPI
I assume you got the XG32VQ? Did you ever consider the PG279Q because of the IPS panel?
Surely 93 PPI isn't that much lower than the 102 PPI on your 43" 4k monitor?
I used to have a 32" 2560x1440 monitor and the difference is surprisingly huge.
Ideal is generally around 110 PPI (i.e. 2560x1440 on a 27" monitor or 4k on a 40" monitor).
Anyone seen the LG 34GK950F-B? Tempted to import it from the US.
You forgot that "rear-of-monitor adaptive mood lighting based on what is on screen" that LG is in to lately for their gaming monitors.
Mine is arriving from the USA in about a week!
Monitor + Delivery was $1099.72 AUD
GST/Import Tax: $280.52 AUD
Total: $1380.44 AUD
I'm assuming these will be $2000 AUD if/when they arrive in Australia.
Where did you buy it from? Are you using a mail forwarding service?
I purchased it on eBay from buydig, an official LG reseller. I used an eBay discount code.
It was $20 more expensive from bhphotovideo, who said they won't get stock until late April.
Amazon US also ship to Australia but only when they have stock in their warehouse, they seem to get stock every 2 weeks.
I purchased it on sale though, so prices are much higher at the moment.
3 months and nothing on this? Guess its more V A P O R W A R E from ces fap
Ultrawide oled tv's when?
