This is a shameless promotion of one of my YouTube videos.
This was a $12 Salvos find
Interesting, and a nice find way out there! I wonder if it might get more interest in the Retro forum, though?
Those things had lovely keyboards for such a small device. There was an educational computer based on the Psion netbook that flopped and were being sold off cheap on eBay quite a few years ago. I was tempted but I suspected I'd never get around to using it. I do remember Ericsson producing that giant flip phone a few years after the 5mx that ran Symbian OS. Unfortunately they were like the Apple Newton of the smartphone world. Either way ahead of it's time or not ready for prime time depending on your perspective. A company I worked for was looking at using them in the field but the world moved on before that really got off the ground.
I was always partial to the even older HP LX palmtops (mostly for the x86 CPU). I still have a HP 200LX in a drawer. Unfortunately they had terrible keyboards by comparison.
First Symbian with full qwerty keyboard.
Probably the best N series phone ever.
