I was about to ask how did you get Valve support in AUS. You aren't in Aus i see. How do you rate the speakers on it? I am overly impressed, i have $300 cans and i don't bother with them the Index sound is so good.
I guess i am rooted if something breaks on mine, oh well not long till better headsets arrive anyway.

Currently still mucking around in No Mans Sky VR with KB and Mouse, no interest in hand fiddly shit just seated immersion. It's really bloody good and runs well. :)

I use the Oculus touch controls in No Man's Sky it works really well and get fluid to use.
Must have logged 100+ hours in VR the last few weeks.

Yeah the speakers are pretty ok. I've got overly expensive cans due to a spate of being into headfi for a while, but the sound qual of the index is pretty good. The positioning is excellent.

I had a crack at NMS in VR tonight. Haven't played it since launch, and the fiasco that was, so there's a lot to relearn. The manual controls in the ship is a hilarious, if stupidly cumbersome touch.

Probably going to finish Alyx before really devoting time to anything else.

Never really liked Fallout or Skyrim VR, requires way too much time in the headset and most of the time there is not much action so you really have to enjoy the scenery which brings me to the other point.

On my HTC Vive I found the SDE ruined Fallout/Skyrim, but on my Pimax I found the lack of anti aliasing, and the fact that I only have a nvidia 1080 meant that the jagged edges and aliased text everywhere made it unpleasant. Maybe if you have a 2080ti you can put the resolution high enough.

I wish they put more effort into the VR addition for the amount of money they are asking.

i'm a massive sucker for both having spent a few hundred hours on both combined, lengthy VR games are few and far between so it's ideal for fans I'd say.

Having played the flat screen version, jumping into each in VR is pretty awesome and feels amazing also Bethesda did a good job changing over to VR. I found they both ran very well on a 1080Ti and Vive Pro.

It's a good price for anyone curious who's balked at the full retail price.

I picked up Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR when they were on special the last time. Haven't played much of each but a big let down for me with Skyrim VR is the melee weapon combat where you can just simply flail your wrist around to kill enemies. Basically limits you to spells and arrows if you want realistic combat which was a lot of fun.

I don't think I'll ever put a huge amount of hours into either of these games though for the same reason as bart5986. I just can't do long periods of time in the headset and I guess I'm just also way to use to the traditional keyboard/mouse interaction in games which can be a little off putting. I only really brought them out of curiosity and being that they were on special it seemed to the perfect opportunity.

There are some great RPG/Aventure games for VR that are a lot of fun. You actually have to swing the sword etc rather then flailing around!

Thanks. It's worth it just for Saints and Sinners, which I've been wanting for a while now but hadn't picked up. :)

    Shoutout for Vivecraft

After MS/Mojang jipped me on my free version of MC for Windows i heard about this, and its brilliant

Essentially a mod for the Java version, but it works straight off the bat and seems pretty flawless to me, ive heard people say its better than the VR implementation MS did in the Windows version haha

Only way to play MC i reckon, the sense of scale is amazing

What are you all playing now?
I'm still slowly going through Half Life Alyx, had a look at a couple others which look interesting.
Need to get more motivation and energy to play more.

What are you all looking forward to?
Alt Deus Tokyo, Chronos sequel looks good for or in a few days.
Any upcoming games with looking out for?

I see Elite is getting the Odyssey expansion that would be interesting.

    Had anyone tried Population One?
I never played fortnight but this is said to be the VR fortnight.

I bought Contractors the other day. 1st person Shooter - it's keeping me in. - difficult to Aim without a crosshair. But I guess that's part of the fun.
