So I didn't see a thread and I was surprised! I think it's great to see what others carry around for their bag for general photography (or their backup bag for special occasions!).

So, what is in your camera bag?

I'll start off. I've recently started the migration to Canon RF (from EFS!) so i've sold some stuff and this is where my bag is sitting at the moment:
    • R5 Body
    • RF 24-105MM F4-7.1
    • RF 50mm F1.8
    • EF 100mm F2.8 + EF to RF Adaptor
    • 2x 430 EXIII-RT Flashes (actually in a box and waiting for collection at the PO..)

Since making the switch I haven't had much of a chance to play with the R5, though what little I have I'm very impressed with. I'm also looking forward to messing around with multi-flash just to see what I can achieve...I'm a hack but love it so it gets me really excited to mess around and try things. Had my previous camera for about 10 years and decided it was worth a change. Bought an RP 3 months ago but decided I deserved to step it up after this time so then got the R5.

There was one that fell to the side about a decade ago :D

This thread really makes it if you share more photos of what's in the bag but I agree, bit of fun.

    I have too many bags and combos to share so current favourites are;

    Landscape + Travel Kit

    A7R3 + Smallrig L Bracket
    16-35GM
    24-70GM
85GM (depending on where I am going)
    24GM
    B+W 82mm CPL
    Hitech Firecrest 6 Stop + 10 Stop
    Plaubel Makina 67
    Yongnuo LED Panel
    Sirui N-2204X + RRS BH40
All inside a Incase DSLR Backpack

    Street/Walkabout Kit

    A73 + 24-70GM and/or 16-35GM
    Leica M6 + Voitglander 35mm 2.5 Color Skopar
    Sony RX100 III
All inside a ONA Prince Street (Grey) Shoulder Sling

Wanting to get a 100-400 for travel in the future if I don't go the 70-200 F4 again.

Oh lawd you guys make me feel so under equipped!

I'm open to posting photos in addition to a list!

lonewolf1983 you seem to get a lot of mileage out of that samyang! I gather EF mount?

I really would like a wide angle. My last was EFS and i didn't realise. I somewhat enjoy prime lenses more than zooms but I'd kill for a 24-70...

The 14mm is the EF version (It came up cheap 2nd hand vs new RF) and i wanted a wide angle that i could use on the 1DX in an emergency.
    The 85mm is RF

Hey now nobody's about to pop in here and say 'Pixel 5a' or something.

To make you feel better this is all I keep in my bag:

    Camera
    Pentax Q7

    Regular lenses:
    Keyence 12mm CA12LH
    VST 8mm SV0814H
    Keyence 25mm CA25LH
(these are manual C-mounts on adapters)

Extra lenses, usually at least one of these:
    01 Standard Prime 8.3mm
    02 Standard Zoom 5-15mm
    06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm

+ some filter kits and usb battery based recharger

All fits in a Kathmandu traveller shoulder bag.

Really should have bought another body but yeah sort of missed the train on when Pentax Q7's or S1's weren't hard to get a hold of.

Just makes me sad thinking about it really. Used to use it so often, hardly ever comes out of the bag now.

    Camera
    Canon 40D
    Canon 650D (wifes)

    Lenses
    Canon 50mm f1.4
    Canon 24-105 f4
    Sigma 10-20
Canon 18-55 or whatever kit, (wifes)

Couple of various filters and what not. Tripod is a manfroto aluminium thing with a ball lock head. If I ever get back into it I think I ditch the aluminium tripod and get a smaller lighter weight CF unit. And realistically the 40D will probably have to go too. The noise handling on the wifes camera is light years ahead of the 40D.

Oh lovely, i haven't yet looked into RF mounts for other brands and tbh I've only really had experience with tamron/sigma (courtesy of friends).

Have you links to example shots from either? To me the 85mm in particular is an interesting focal length as it's nothing like i've had before. I've had 24mm, 50mm, 100mm prime but only zooms outside of those

Finally, a thread that can indulge my gear wankery without pesky analysis of my skill as a photographer.

    2x A1
    A7iii backup
    Samyang 18/2.8
    24GM
    35GM
    Sony 35/1.8
    Canon 45TS
    50GM
    Sigma 85 DG DN
    Sony 90 Macro
    135GM
    Godox flashes

Edit : Gear I actually use goes in a LowePro X200. Backup gear goes in a Thinktank Streetwalker Pro 2. I use a Shootsac to actually work from during a wedding.

Here is my old travel gear photo, which I need to update with the new E-M5 MkIII, but it is still roughly the same. Used to take a new one of these every trip for insurance purposes. Before anyone asks, yes all of that fits in the PD pouch.

Should go through my other camera gear too, but generally i have a bunch more bags setup for different purposes and keep all my cameras and lenses in the cupboard ready to be packed into bags. Im behind the times though, still Canon FF kit.

My camera bag is a Lowepro Slingshot 202 AW but the load-out changes depending on what I need.

    Camera:
Canon 90 with grip and 4 Canon LP-E6N batteries.

    Lenses:
    Canon EFS 24 F2.8 STM
    Canon EFS 10-18 F 4-5.6 IS STM
Canon EFS 18-135 F3.5-5.6 IS USM (nano)
    Canon EF 75-300 F4-5.5 III

All the zooms have hoods and the EFS zooms have a variable ND filter and a circular polarizer to suit (same size). I think I have some NDs and a circular polarizer for the EF zoom. A Canon 430 EX II speedlight is in the bag and usually 2 x YN622C transceivers and a YN622C transmitter. I also leave in an old wired Canon remote that fits my 90D, 760D and 550D - it seems easier to photograph star trails or long exposure shots using the "gut feeling" for exposure time, LOL.
There is a Peak Design adjustable leash strap in the bag with a little bag of spare anchor things, etc. There is the long arca-swiss mount for my gimbal head on my manfrotto tripod and the short arca-swiss mount for my carbon fibre tripod, the medium mount for the gimbal is usually left on the camera. The CF tripod has a panning ball head - it works fine. There is a bunch of other stuff in the bag, including a fold up filter wallet, flash blender and so on. I won't go into details for the rest.

My 2 x YN685C speedlights won't fit in the bag. They do have pouches with belt loops though. The slingshot bag does have a stabilizer strap so I can hang the 685s from there when needed.

Great thread! A lot of people posting, where this place has been a little quiet lately, unfortunately. I haven't helped as haven't posted much either.

Anyway, I have an f-stop Tilopa which I keep:
    - Fuji G617
    - Fujifilm XT-4
    - Fujifilm 10-24 F4
    - Fujifilm 16-55 f2.8
    - Lee 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 hard grad filters
    - Lee 0.45, 0.6, 0.9 soft grad filter
    - Lee Big Stopper (haven't used this filter in years!)
    - Lee filter holder x 2
    - Circular polariser 72mm
    - Circular polariser 77mm X 2
    - Manual remote cable release
    - Cleaning stuff - Lens pen, blower etc
    - spare battery, spare SD card
    - film for the 617 (usually just keep 1 roll all the time, and a pack of 5 if out shooting or on a trip)
    - beanie and scarf (I just always keep them here for some reason)
    - towel - for use if seascaping
    - strip of paracetamol - never know when you might need it - and I have my camera bag with me a lot!

I recently bought a smaller over the shoulder Lowepro bag which fits just the Fuji XT-4, lenses and filters, so I can travel light if I don't want to take the 617. I am traveling lighter and lighter these days since I got the Fuji. I had a 5DII prior with 17-40, 24-105 and 70-200 - this was a heavy combo. I also haven't been going to places that interesting with interstate travel restrictions with COVID etc so haven't been taking the film camera out as much.
I have a couple of smaller f-stop ICU's, so am thinking of getting a smaller bag for the above gear, as my large ICU would also enable a couple of other lenses or a larger zoom, which I don't currently have for this system.

    Thanks,

    Martin
