If you look at the Cyberpunk teaser you can see the following:
"Fully open world!"
ill stop diablo to play this i think
news of the day for me thanks Phill!
News of the year for me, I doubt much will trump that
They also said it'd be done before Cyberpunk which is due in 2015 so it can't be *too* far off
The Witcher + open world... it's like they took a dream game idea out of my head and are making it into a reality. Maybe now we'll get horses and that sort of thing too, I have no doubts that this is going to be amazing
mind control dragons and use them as transport and killing of course
As long as they keep the brilliant storytelling I'm happy for them to go open world.
they always felt pretty open anyway. You were never really limited to a particular path in most areas
I was kind of thinking the same thing, maybe they mean Assassins Creed, GTA, Just Cause 2 or Arkham City open.
Open areas != Open world
Here you could return to areas, have massive plains to travel across to the next town, random encounters + a heap of other stuff to make it better
Having only just finished the Witcher 2 on the Xmas holidays and to be honest I hope they finish the game off better and this whole story as 1 and 2 have led into each other. It seems great and then just ended in Act 3. I was expecting 5 acts like the first one. It just left me feeling a bit disappointed as it quite clearly was left open for number 3.
you mean more like skyrim not The Witcher 2. I felt the witcher 1 was more open. TW2 to me was slightly linear.
awesome, can't watch video as i'm at work but will check it as soon as i get home
Open world with the Red Engine would be awesome! I wonder if they have tweaked the engine at all for an open world. I can imagine it would still be hard on your system.
It's a missed opportunity and who knows maybe they will do it in their Cyberpunk thingy but it would have been nice to take your Geralt with you the same way you took your Shep with you in the ME series.
The semi-linear sort of play was the one think that really turned me off this series. Ill come back if it is.
In the meantime, Far Cry 3.....
Shit. Now I have to pull my finger out and finish number 2.
I put it on the shelf last year when it was too much for my pc...this one doesn't struggle lol.
Its bloody taxing on a 680 imo. Just turn off uber sampling and some AA. Shadows on medium. Glad i got a 7970 coming on monday.
It's not that taxing. I'm running a 670 and everything is set to 'ultra' in the presets with ubersamping set to off and otherwise ran brilliantly with the very rare dip into the 30's. Then again I'm only running at 1920x1200.
Hope they make it closer to Witcher 1. Witcher 2 had too much of that 'cinematic', hollywood type feel to it, and the story was pretty crud.
Yeah please CDPR don't go Bioware on us. Or Skyrim route on that note.
yeah im almost pushing 2x your pixels was taxing on a 2GB card. Man i cant wait for this. I preferred the story on TW2 though comparing the 1st. I love Geralts character.
