Nice tip about the honeycomb for cash, I'll have to try that.

I spent most of the weekend in Velen, and still so many unexplored ? marks. Come up against a few red lvl monsters, lvl 14 when I was lvl 6 hunting for griffin diagrams for example...determined to get my loot I eventually burned it down. Wearing the whole set now, lvl 10 so I'll start collecting the enhanced.

After baron story, the botchling and hide n seek with the kids....I had to sit back in amazement of this game...truly enjoyable experience.

nothing in the release notes about "fixing performance for kepler"

Only Witcher stuff is not recommended for 3D Vision and an SLi profile.

Played a bit on the weekend and the Mrs watched me the entire time and was loving it!

Have only got 2 question marks left in the first area and have killed the griffon. Having a blast!!!

How do you grow a beard etc? I feel like i'm really missing out on some parts of this game lol. I've crafted 1 bomb and 1 piece of armour, nothing else really outside of that...Is there a good guide on info like the beards etc that I should be reading??

    G2play. I got a GoG key for $35.

How do you not grow a beard should be the question - it just happens.

yeah, it grows somewhat naturally. There are barbers you can visit later on that'll do you hair and your beard

It also depends on the shave - clean shave = beard growth. other styles and it doesn't grow at all (from memory)

After my mark clearing yesterday I had to do 2 runs to carry all the trashy loot back to vendors lol. And then try a couple of the local blacksmiths that actually had money to buy it all plus a couple of relic swords.

Took these 2 relic swords to Oxenfurt and the smith is paying double the village smith rate...score!

That candle extinguish mod previously mentioned is absolutely brilliant I'm about to do that tyvm. Just need an area loot mod and a semi-transparent larger minimap...

    LEave 1 item

Walk away, come back (only like 50m), and all the loot has respawned again. Can be done anywhere up to 20 times apparently but i've been succesfful up to about 5 times on 2 different nests

7950 runs great for me on high+

Not sure fps but it's silky smooth, no stuttering, no crashes. Drivers are pretty old too.

Anyone downloaded the new Nvidia drivers that fixes Keplar GPU problems? Downloading now, folks on reddit though are suggesting a 10-15 FPS improvement (which for me will put the game at a smooth 60!)

edit: yep, much smoother... Still prone to framerate drops (Nilfgaard camp in White Orchard for example) but I expect that's a game optimisation issue rather than a GPU problem

Took some screenshots of the game at 7680x1600 resolution on Ultra. It's sooo pretty....

Unfortunately it's running at 25fps only. :upset: Low details runs it at about 45fps.

    Back to single screen gaming.

So here are the screenies. :D the sides are stretched. That's normal for really wide resolutions.
Here's one example. The rest in album:
